Career
[edit]Formula 4
[edit]2023
[edit]Porté Ruiz first came into motorsports with no prior karting experience. He was named on the entry list for the 2023 French F4 Championship at the start of the year.[3] Despite Porté Ruiz's lack of experience, he often showed good pace, securing points on two occasions over the course of the season, in Pau and at the Misano World Circuit.[4][5] Porté Ruiz continued to show improvement and at season's end he finished in 23rd place in the standings, securing two points.[6]
2024
[edit]After showing impressive development in 2023, Porté Ruiz was once again named on the entry list for the 2024 edition of the French F4 Championship.[7] He emerged as an outsider for the championship title after setting some surprisingly competitive times in pre-season testing.[8] He had a tough opening round, failing to score a single point. However, in the second round of the season at Lédenon, Porté Ruiz became a race-winner in the championship, winning the second race of the round.[9][10] Porté Ruiz continued to impress, as he picked up three more podiums over the course of the season, including two at the Nürburgring.[11][12][13] Ultimately, these podiums weren't enough to put him into title contention, however, as Porté Ruiz still managed to finish an impressive 6th in the championship standings, seventeen places above his debut season in the series.[14] Porté Ruiz is reported to be eyeing a move to the Road to Indy pathway.[15]
