Foxbridge Golf & Country Club
The course consists of two 9-hole golf courses (North & South courses) in Uxbridge, ON and is one of the older Golf course in Durham Region, the North Course is the original 9 hole Uxbridge Golf Club. Over the years Foxbridge Golf & Country Club has evolved into the current 18 hole course, with its sandy soil, tight fairways and postage-stamp greens.
Prepare yourself for our signature 4th hole. It is the perfect combination of awesome beauty and awesome frustration. An elevated tee plays across a valley, up onto an elevated green protected on the left by trees, the right by out-of-bounds, and behind by a large blind sand trap. On the South course, Foxbridge Golf & Country Club offer up our dogleg left 3rd which features an in-play pond, a green that slopes from right to left, protected by a bunker in front and a mature, deep forest at the rear.
History
[edit]The club was built in 1958 in Uxbridge, ON on the North Course facing Brock Road with a 9 hole aand a restaurant.. Later in 1980's south course was purchased and a 9hole was built, making it 18 hole Golf Club.
The course was again upgraded in 2021 by improving the parking lots and adding wedding venues.
The course runs from March till end of November and runs various Legion leagues with the support of the veterans & other tournaments each year.
Since current ownership took over the course in 2003, continuous improvements and changes have been undertaken, including construction of a new clubhouse, which opened in 2017, reconfiguration of holes and construction of new holes and maintenance improvements.

Clubhouse
[edit]2 floors of 5,518 sq. ft. each with grade level access to basement (which has 12’ ceiling height to accommodate golf simulator). Post & beam look with vaulted ceilings in public areas, LED & decorative lighting, natural gas heat & cooking, modern AC throughout. Fully equipped commercial kitchen. Dining room & bar has occupant load of 151 plus meeting room with an additional 34m = total 185. Both covered and uncovered outdoor patios. Marquee tent abuts clubhouse for tournaments to be held without closing restaurant.
Source of water
[edit]Soils are sandy and well-drained, so good early-season play, but gets parched in dry weather. Watering system has been upgraded over the years.
