Farm Merge Valley
[edit]Farm merge valley is a "world-building puzzle game" produced by Zynga and CoolGames specifically made for playing on social media platforms such as Facebook and Discord.[1] It is a web-based application coded in HTML5.[2][3][4]
Production and Launch
[edit]The game was announced on the 2nd of November 2022 and launched on the same day.[2][5][6] It was co-produced by Zynga and publisher CoolGames, who also incorporated social elements into the game.[1][2][3][6] It was produced in Amsterdam.[7] It was originally only available only on the now discontinued Facebook gaming before later being incorporated into Discord activities on the 26th of July 2024 as an early access activity, using the platform's features to grow.[8][9][10]
Gameplay
[edit]In the game, users are supposed to merge 3 or multiples of 3 of the same item. Upon reaching a certain amount of merges, items begin producing resources. Those recources can be used to complete deliveries in production buildings scattered around the map, for which the player is paid. Players can level up to buy more land. Players can also visit other players within their friends list on Facebook and Discord via a train, provided they have a train ticket. The game has been descibed as being "highly addictive".[11][12][13][14][15][16][17][18] It is also based off of a similar theme as one of Zynga's first games, FarmVille.[7]
