Emo Kids is a emo lifestyle brand best known for their nationally touring live band show. The brand started in Los Angeles, CA at the beginning of 2023, and while they started and primarily function as a nationally touring emo cover band, they have grown multiple aspects of the brand to include apparel, podcast, kids songs, and beer.
Most of the group played and toured in emo bands in the 2000's at the height of the emo culture, including The Vans Warped Tour. Driven by nostalgia, the emo culture started to come back strong in the late 2010s and early 2020s, and the members of the band randomly formed together hoping to casually play some shows around town. This quickly changed as the band saw a lot of interest in high quality live emo nights, given most existing emo night shows were driven by DJ groups. While the DJ Emo Nights had long been popular across the country, the band felt that this music was meant to be enjoyed live, and focused on delivering album-perfect performances nationwide.
Their passions did not stop at live music however, and they wanted to make the brand more than just about the band. They have since created multiple offerings under the Emo Kids banner with the mission of delivering products and services that honor their mission to "Celebrate all things emo." A few of the members had creative advertising backgrounds, so they used this skill set to build a solid brand with a focus on quality content. While the brand is still technically in it's early years, it's momentum and trajectory is something to watch.
