Detrimentalist is the sixteenth studio album by Canadian electronic music producer Venetian Snares, released on the Planet Mu label in 2008. The album's musical style is marked by its distancing itself from classical breakbeats employed in earlier albums by Venetian Snares, notably Rossz Csillag Alatt Született, and a return to the roots of jungle. The album has been described by Planet Mu as "Venetian Snares' 332nd official studio album of disgusting ejacutronic rave horn [...] fresh from the bakery truck to pluck out your brain cells and replace them with inescapable k-hole oblivion".[3]
