Davide Amaduzzi (Bologna, August 4, 1972) is an Italian racing driver active in various categories of international motorsport.
Throughout his career, he has competed in single-seaters, GT cars, prototypes, and NASCAR events in Europe and the United States. In addition to his racing career, he works as a driving instructor and test driver for car manufacturers.
Career
[edit]Early Years and Single-Seater Racing
[edit]Amaduzzi began karting at around the age of 10, winning the Italian title in the 100cc category in 1990.
In 1991, he transitioned to single-seater racing, competing in championships such as Formula 2000 and Italian Formula 3.
In subsequent years, he also raced in Formula Renault and Formula 3000 in both Europe and the United States.
Between 1995 and 1997, he participated in three unofficial Formula 1 test sessions, driving for AGS-Ford, Larrousse-Ford, and Benetton-Ford at the Le Luc and Spa-Francorchamps circuits.
GT Racing and Prototypes
[edit]Since 2000, Amaduzzi has focused primarily on GT racing and prototype competitions, participating in events such as FIA GT and the Italian GT Championship with Ferrari, Porsche, and Lamborghini cars.
In 2008, he began collaborating with Scuderia La.Na, racing with various Ferraris, including the 430 GT and 550, in endurance and GT competitions in Italy and abroad.
NASCAR and Racing in the United States
[edit]In 2010, Amaduzzi made his debut on American ovals in the ARCA Truck Series.
In the following years, he competed in various NASCAR events, including the K&N Pro Series West and the Whelen All-American Series, becoming one of the few Italian drivers to regularly race in these U.S.-based categories.
Driving Instructor and Test Driver
[edit]Alongside his racing career, Amaduzzi has worked as a driving instructor and test driver for various car manufacturers.
He has contributed to the development of new models and participated in promotional events and safe driving courses.
Television Work
[edit]Amaduzzi has appeared as a guest and commentator on numerous television programs dedicated to motorsport.
He has shared his experience and provided technical analyses of racing competitions
