Damián Antón Ojeda is a black metal musician based in Oak Park, Illinois. In his musical career, he has self-released music under his various musical projects, most notably Sadness and Trhä, along with his other projects such as Comforting, and Life.[1]

Early life and career

Ojeda, who would later move to Oak Park in 2010, would meet Tony Hicks in his early teenage years. In 2012, they would form the band Born an Abomination.

Ojeda would later form his solo project, Sadness by releasing Close on Bandcamp on July 10, 2014. He initially expected the album to have a low amount of downloads, however the amount would increase compared than what he expected.

In 2019, he would release the album I Want to Be There, which would gain a cult following on sites such as Rate Your Music and Reddit. I Want to Be There would become a notable album within the blackgaze music genre.[2]
