Control AI is a non-profit organisation that seeks to reduce the risks of artificial intelligence. The group was founded by Connor Leahy and others before the inaugural AI Safety Summit in 2023 in order to urge the attending policymakers to "implement a pause on developing the most sophisticated forms of AI".[1]
They have campaigned against the use of deepfakes, especially those used to spread misinformation or make child pornography, and have proposed a ban on the use of the technology.[2]
