History
[edit]Because of the financial problems of the former team Foresta Suceava, the people of Suceava who have a history of minor successes in footbal wanted a new team, a new project arrived in 2024[1], a new team whose inspiration name came from the historic Cetatea Suceava[2] though they don't hold the records.
With Dorin Goian, the former Steaua Bucuresti(FCSB) and Romanian national team glory as a technical director and former FC Botosani Liga I player Ionut Plamada and Andrei Itco as coaches, Cetatea managed to secure 5 out of 5 possible wins from the start of the Liga IV season, with big margin victories such as 14-0 with Zimbru Siret or 9-1 with ACS Forestierul Frumosu.[3]
Their first ever match was a 11-1 win on a friendly against local team Juniorul Suceava, match which was played in Itcani Stadium.[4]
