Brij Mohan Singh (born 15 October 1935) was an Indian politician and social worker.[1] He served as a Member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly for 4 terms, representing the Aurangabad Assembly constituency as a candidate of Indian National Congress.[2][3] He also served as the Chairman of Food Corporation of India, Bihar (FCI-1985) and Chairman of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.[4]

Brij Mohan Singh was born on 15 October 1935 in Aurangabad, Bihar. His early education took place in local schools.

Brij Mohan Singh's political career began with his active participation in the local politics of Aurangabad. Singh was first elected as a Member of the BIhar Legislative Assembly in 1962, representing the Aurangabad Assembly constituency. He won four times in1962,1972,1985, and 1990).[5][6][7]

Chairmanship of Food Corporation of India

Brij Mohan Singh also served as the Chairman of the Food Corporation of India, a central government agency responsible for the procurement, storage, and distribution of food grains.

Chairmanship of Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA)

He served as the Chairman of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, an organization dedicated to the care and protection of animals.

Death

Brij Mohan Singh died on 29th June 2009 at J B Pant Hospital New Delhi]. His death was widely mourned, with tributes pouring in from political leaders, social activists, and citizens alike. His contributions to Bihar, particularly to the people of Aurangabad, remain an enduring part of his legacy.
