Binley Mega Chippy is a Fish and Chip shop that became popular in early 2022 on Tiktok.[1]
History
[edit]The founder is Kamal Gandhi who founded the shop back in 2004. The earliest know tweet of the shop was in 2009 by user @rutty_uk. As of 2024, it has 7 employees working for Kamal[2]. In early 2022, users on TikTok started posting ironic memes and shitposting the fish and chip shop with an accompanying jingle[3]. Then, a majority of users started traveling to the shop at the earliest known time possible. Currently the shop is still operating.
