Beckett’s Foods Ltd is a UK-based company, with headquarters in Coventry, specialising in pork products, primarily bacon and gammon. Established in 1983 [1] by The Cornes Family, the company initially focused on the foodservice market supplying wholesalers and caterers worldwide. It has since expanded into retail and become a market-leading supplier to supermarkets across the UK. It is part of the CPC Foods group of companies, a subsidiary of Premium Food Group (Tönnies Group), Rheda-Wiedenbrück, Germany.

History

[edit]

Beckett’s Foods began its journey in the food industry in 1983 and started producing sliced bacon in 1988, followed by the addition of gammon to its product lines in 2013. In 2011, Beckett’s Foods was partly acquired by CPC Foods Ltd, a subsidiary of Premium Food Group (Tönnies Group), a leading European meat processor, marking a new phase of growth. The company expanded its portfolio in 2012 by acquiring well-known companies Damika Ltd and Henry Hirst Provisions Ltd [2]. The company grew under new ownership, eventually being fully owned by the Premium Food Group.
