Babe Tree 鄧鎧汶 (english surname Valenciano Távora), born March 22 1970, is of mix-heritage (Portuguese Spanish Chinese and Filipino with a little Greek).

Having been born to a musical family, Babe Tree was introduced to the local Music & Entertainment Industry at a very tender age. Her first pay-cheque was for a Commercial Ad she did that was aired in Malaysia, Singapore & Indonesia. Babe was 5 years old then. She had since done commercial ads & recorded commercial jingles and as a teenager, had participated in Musicals, Skits & Plays during her schooldays and several performances had brought her to Singapore, Taiwan, Macau, & the Philippines. During that period, Babe Tree also participated in several variety shows held by the Hong Kong Leisure & Cultural Services Department.

A self-professed College drop-out, Babe Tree embarked on a career in the Entertainment Industry of Hong Kong -‘fulltime’ as a freelance artiste and later on signed up with Silver Planet Record Label and TVB for two years. During that period, she participated in a multiple of events including local concerts; variety shows; recordings; MTV; etc., and has taken up small parts in local movies. She did back-up chorus for local artistes such as Maria Cordero & Tat Ming Pair, to name but a few, in album recordings; movie soundtracks & shows, both locally & overseas.

Choreography, image consultancy, composing & vocal arrangements were just a few of the many jobs she had taken up during this period. She continued to participate in skits & plays and was a member of Tanghalanatin (Our Theatre) Theatre Group Hong Kong. She is currently a member of Dóci Papiaçám di Macau Theatre Group, which stages Skits & Plays at the yearly Macau Arts Festival promoting Cultural Traditions of the century old Macanese (of Portuguese heritage) community in Macau.

In the year 2000, she and others did a CD recording with Maria Cordero aptly called “Maria & Friends” which was followed by a series of concerts, in correspondence to the same recording, in Hong Kong and around China.

Babe Tree also helped pen the lyrics & vocal arrangement to the song DANGER IS MY NAME [1] for the soundtrack of a local movie by Wong Jing (王晶) called ‘Sex and the Beauties’ (性感都市). She sang the song HEAVEN [2] for the movie soundtrack of the movie STAND BY ME (奋斗 (Fèndòu). Her last movie soundtrack recording was SEA OF LOVE [3] for the movie PARIS HOLIDAY (巴黎假期). Her voice was heard around the world on a promotional TVC she recorded for the Hong Kong Tourism Board in the year 2005 entitled “Discover Hong Kong”, which was part of the “Discover Hong Kong Campaign 2006”. She did another recording for them in the year 2007 for the Promotion of Hong Kong Tourism aptly called “Live it, Love it…Hong Kong!”. The Commercial Jingle was broadcasted worldwide from 2008 onwards until it was duly replaced with a new recording.[4]

In the year 2009, Babe Tree guested on a Macau TV Show Felix WET 爆澳門 ! and had taken up different characters that brought cheers to audiences. She also came up with the skit for those few episodes she was in.

In 2010, Babe Tree took up acting as one of the main characters in a local Stage Production for the Hong Kong Government – “Ethnitricity” - a multi-ethnic, multicultural dramedy which was staged at the Hong Kong Heritage Museum.

In 2013, Babe Tree was cast as a rather sarcastic but witty domestic helper ‘Daisy” in TVB’s drama series 女人俱樂部 M Club (Never Dance Alone) which was aired in 2014. Following the success of that character, Babe Tree accepted and played a few Cameo roles in several TVB dramadies and RTHK productions. She’s guested on multiple TV shows and drama series on Macau’s TDM to date.

Apart from the occasional appearances on TV, Stage and Recording Sessions, Babe Tree now concentrates on Events Planning & Production, F&B Consultancy, Artistes Management, TV and Commercial Advertisement Productions, and painting.
