Amanda Edirisinghe (born 6 September 1987) is a Sri Lankan television presenter, who made her debut in 2007.
Early life and background

Amanda Edirisinghe was born on 6 September 1987 in Kandy, Sri Lanka. She is the grandniece of actress Chitra Wakishta and Lloyd Wakishta.
Amanda studied at Hillwood College, Kandy and graduated with her Bachelors degree in Social sciences, with a second class upper division from the Open University in Sri Lanka.
Television
[edit]She made her television debut as a TV presenter in 2007, with Rasata Rasak tv programme with Jaya Sri brothers on Sirasa TV channel.[1][2][3] Further then she presented The Colombo Fashion Show on TV Derana.[4]

[edit]Edirisinghe has been the face for more than twenty five television and print commercials and brand endorsements.[5][6][7][8][9][10][11] [12] [13]Current face of Divya soap and shampoo product which is sold internationally in Indias largest B2B maret place IndiaMART.[14] [15] [16] [17]
Pageantry
[edit]At the age of nineteen years Edirisinghe won 4th runner up title at Miss Sri Lanka Universe 2007 beauty pageant. She also won Miss Photogenic title award and Miss Best in evening Gown title award from the same pageant. She had won three main titles from a single pageant respectively. [18]
Acting Career
[edit]Edirisinghe made her acting debut with teledrama digu sewanali where she played a kidnapped on screen daughters role to a veteran female actress. She also acted in ITI Mal teledrama series as Roshel alongside veteran actors.[19]
Music Videos
[edit]Edirisinghe made her guest appearance in a music video with Bachi Susan for his song, "Channa Kinnaravi".[20]

She walked the ramp for many leading fashion designers in srilanka during the intial stage if her career.
International Work
[edit]At the age of twenty three years Edirisinghe crossed the international borders to expand her career and lived in India due to professional obligations where she appeared in a TV commercial, which was directed by Bollywood film director for the brand Hero Honda, one of the main brand sponsors for the Indian cricket team.[21] [22] Due to her Hindi language skills she was offered a Bollywood movie alongside veteran Bollywood actors in India.[citation needed] And also done many interviews for media channels in India.[23] [24][25]
