Alexis Swanson Traina is an American entrepreneur, recognized tastemaker, entertaining authority, author, and vintner. Traina is the founder and CEO of HiNOTE, a modern communication app.
Family and Education
[edit]Alexis Swanson Traina was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. She is the daughter of W. Clarke Swanson, Jr. of Omaha, NE, whose family innovated the iconic American brand, Swanson Foods; and Elizabeth Pipes Swanson of New Orleans. She is the eldest of three sisters, including Veronica Swanson Beard and Claiborne Swanson Frank.
Alexis spent her childhood in Naples, Florida, graduated from The Ethel Walker School in Simsbury, Connecticut, and went on to graduate from Hobart William Smith Colleges in Geneva, New York. In 1985 her parents located to the Napa Valley, to introduce their eponymous winery, Swanson Vineyards.
Career
[edit]After college, Alexis Swanson Traina began her career at Swanson Vineyards. She is known for: her eponymous wine label, "Alexis”; reimagining the Napa Valley tasting room experience– ushering in a new, bespoke tasting experience that had yet to exist; and creating Modern House Wines, which brought wit and wine to the masses through her partnership with Target.
Books
[edit]Alexis Swanson Traina is the author of From Napa With Love, a best-selling book of photos and essays extolling the people and place she calls home. Published by Abrams Publishing, the book has been reprinted four times and was acquired by Reese Witherspoon's Hello, Sunshine.

Personal Life
[edit]Alexis Swanson Traina married technology entrepreneur Trevor Traina in 2006. In 2018 Mr. Traina was appointed Ambassador to Austria. Alexis and Trevor have two children. The family lives in San Francisco, California.
