Hassan Suleyman, known as AboFlah (December 18, 1998– );[2][3] is a Kuwaiti YouTuber,[4] he has a YouTube channel that makes videos about games and entertainment.[5]

Personal Life

AboFlah was born in December 18th, 1998 in Kuwait. He did not complete his university studies for financial reasons despite passing high school.

Career

AboFlah created his YouTube channel in 2016,[6] under the name "GamesFlah" [7] but after a while, he changed the name to its current name, "AboFlah". Hassan said that he chose the word "Flah" from the start because it is a Gulf word that means “fun". [8]

AboFlah's father rejected his work on YouTube despite achieving great success and reaching half a million subscribers, and the matter reached the point of his dad threatening to boycott it. His father considered YouTube a space for demons, but his mother intervened to convince AboFlah's father to continue in AboFlah's occupation as a content creator. [9][8]

The first video that AboFlah published on his channel was titled "كلاش اوف كلانس تصميم خرافي الفيديو", which is "Clash of Clans video has fantastic editing". which is no longer visible right now.[10]

AboFlah achieved two records in the Guinness World Records, after he led a fundraising campaign through a live broadcast on YouTube, which had a goal of $10 million until it reached $11 million at the end of the broadcast, and ended the longest live stream until this period without interruption in his glass house.[11][12] where he achieved the record for the longest continuous live broadcast duration in history, and the largest number of direct views in one moment for a human being.[11][12] where he achieved the record for the longest continuous live broadcast duration in history, and the largest number of direct views in one moment for a humanitarian campaign via YouTube.[13]

  • In June 2020, he took the initiative to build a mosque in Mozambique with an area of ​​100 cubic metres, by collecting donations from him and his followers after his channel reached 5 million subscribers, and the value of the donations amounted to 8,062 Kuwaiti dinars,[16] and he also created a campaign entitled “AboFlah’s Well and His Subscribers.” In the country of Mali, the well will supply 500 to 2,000 people with water suitable for drinking and bathing without hassle, and the value of donations in this project amounted to 9,344 Kuwaiti dinars.[17] He cooperated in the two projects with the Direct Aid Society in Kuwait.[18]
  • In October 2020, he donated money to eight people to complete their education in cooperation with the Direct Aid Society during the “Project to Sponsor AboFlah's Students and Subscribers.” This is on the occasion of his channel reaching 8 million subscribers.[19][19]
  • In November 2020, he sponsored 9 orphans for a year in cooperation with the Direct Aid Society during the “Project to Sponsor Abu Falla’s Orphans and His Followers.” This is on the occasion of his channel reaching 9 million subscribers.[20][21]
  • In December 2020, he launched a campaign entitled “Operations of Light, Subscribers of AboFlah” to collect donations for 1,000 operations to treat eye diseases in an African country.[22] Through a live broadcast on YouTube for 3 hours, in cooperation with the Direct Aid Society, he was able to reach an amount of $165,000, with a total number of 1,262 operations. The final value of the project donations amounted to 78,602 Kuwaiti dinars.[23]
  • In February 2021, he launched a campaign to support Syrian refugees in northwestern Syria, entitled “Sheltering Houses for Syrian Refugees,” on the occasion of his channel reaching 12 million participants in cooperation with the Sheikh Abdullah Al-Nouri Charitable Society, as the campaign aims to shelter 12 families in 12 homes in homes available It includes solar energy, furniture and equipment, sanitation, and a water well, with a public water network extended from it, and the total number of the project is 25 houses. The campaign aims to collect 10 thousand Kuwaiti dinars, and collect the amount in two hours.[24] The final value of the donations reached 30 thousand Kuwaiti dinars.[25] A total of 57 houses.[26]
  • In May 2021, he launched a campaign to build a dispensary in Yemen at a total cost estimated at 155,000 thousand dollars on the occasion of his channel reaching 16 million subscribers in cooperation with the Direct Aid Society. About 10 thousand people will benefit from it,[27] and he was able to collect the amount for the dispensary in 6 hours.[28] The campaign expanded to two dispensaries instead of one,[29] with the total value of donations reaching 93,867 Kuwaiti dinars.[30]
  • In October 2021, AboFlah initiated a campaign entitled “Warm Their Hearts” to raise one million dollars for Syrian refugees to provide support to 5,715 refugee families in cooperation with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.[31] This is on the occasion of his channel reaching 20 million subscribers.[32] The amount was collected in 28 hours of continuous broadcast on YouTube.[33]
  • In early 2022, AboFlah launched a campaign entitled “Let’s Make Their Winter Warmer,” which aims to raise $10 million via a live broadcast on YouTube, with the aim of providing support to more than 100,000 refugee and needy families in the Arab world and Africa, to help them overcome the harsh winter cold and secure their basic needs. In cooperation with the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives Foundation and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, and the regional network of food banks[34][35], he did so by locking himself in a glass room in downtown Dubai in front of the Burj Khalifa.[36] This campaign ended on January 18, raising more than $11 million. The amount was collected within 12 days of continuous broadcasting.[37]
