ACE Money Transfer is a financial technology company headquartered in Manchester, United Kingdom.[1][2] The company provides international money transfer services through various solutions, including bank deposits, cash pickups, mobile wallets, and bill payments.[3][4] The platform is accessible via its website and mobile app, serving customers in over 100 countries worldwide.
Overview
[edit]The company was founded on August 5, 2002, by Aftab Ashraf.[5] Headquartered in Bolton to serve the British-Pakistani community, ACE Money Transfer later expanded globally.[6][7][8][9][10]
In 2010, the company obtained an API license from the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), enabling it to operate under European Union passporting rights.[11]
The company’s services include bank transfers, mobile wallet deposits, and cash pickups. Customers benefit from low transfer costs, competitive exchange rates, and additional features such as bill payments and airtime top-ups. The mobile app has features such as real-time transaction tracking and multiple payment options, including debit and credit cards, Google Pay, and Apple Pay.[12]
The company’s partnership with Trustly introduced the Pay by Bank solution, which contributed to a 40% growth in remittance volumes through this alternate payment method by enabling faster and more secure account-to-account transactions.[13]
ACE’s collaboration with dLocal expanded its remittance services across APAC and EMEA regions, addressing key challenges in cross-border transactions for global migrants and expatriates.[14][15][16]
ACE has established partnerships with Pakistani banks including Bank Alfalah, Bank AL Habib and HBL, launching initiatives to promote legal remittance channels for overseas Pakistanis.[17][18][19]
In 2024, the company partnered with TerraPay to strength its cross-border payment capabilities, improving the efficiency and accessibility of global remittances.[20]
Other platforms ACE has collaborated with include Alipay, ShopeePay, Checkout, Grab and JuanCash.[21]
ACE Money Transfer was awarded “Best Fintech App” at the UK Business Awards 2024.[22][23]
