The National Sports Week 2000 (Indonesian: Pekan Olahraga Nasional XV, abbreviated as PON XV or PON JATIM 2000). This edition marked the first time PON was held after the collapse of the New Order, and the first time it was held outside Jakarta since the last time in 1969. This game also marked the second time PON was held in East Java, the previous time being in 1969. This was the first time PON was held after East Timor Province secedes from Indonesia.
PON XV was broadcast on television by TVRI, RCTI, SCTV, TPI, ANTV and Indosiar.
In PON XV, the PON torch relay came from the eternal flame in Kayangan Api, Bojonegoro.
