Cathrine Raben Davidsen

Cathrine Raben Davidsen (born 1972), is a Danish artist, who lives and works in Copenhagen. Raben Davidsen was born in Copenhagen, Denmark. She received her MFA in 2003 from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. From 2005 to 2014 Raben Davidsen was represented by Martin Asbæk Gallery.

Education

Raben Davidsen attended The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Copenhagen, Denmark from 1996 to 2003, Vrije Academie voor Beeldende Kunsten,[1] Den Haag, The Netherlands from 1995 to 1996, University of Copenhagen,[2] Denmark from 1994 to 1995 and Instituto d´Arte, Lorenzo de Medicii,[3] Firenze, Italy from 1991 to 1992.[4][5]

Her practice includes drawing, painting, ceramics, printmaking and textile work. Raben Davidsen has collaborated with the Royal Danish Ballet, where she created a scenography for the ballet Virtuosi Steps by August Bournonville. She is currently working on curating an exhibition in collaboration with Royal Copenhagen.[citation needed] She has also collaborated with SHOWstudio and Nick Knight among others.[citation needed]
