Are such lists encyclopedic?
[edit]Untitled
[edit]Wouldn't the purpose of such lists be served better by using categories in each person's article linked? --StaniStani 22:45, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
List title is too limiting?
[edit]Question: Isn't the title "People from Nashville, Tennessee" a little limiting? I had a solution to several of these lists I maintain that I believe is a better solution. That would be to name the list: "Notable Past and Present Residents of Nashville, Tennessee". It's semantically limiting to say that someone is "from" an area. By that standard, someone would actually have to be a native of the area to be included. I believe that is way too limiting. Discussion? --Manway (talk) 02:47, 25 July 2009 (UTC)--Manway (talk) 8:45 pm, Today (UTC−6)
