Category:Wikipedia requested images of Kent history
This category lists Wikipedia articles about historical events in Kent and structures in the county that no longer exist, that lack images. You can't go out and photograph such subjects, so this category is intended for people who like looking through paper sources for images that can be used on Wikipedia. WP:Copyrights has a good overview of what you can and can't use, and WP:Non-U.S. copyrights summarises how US copyright law (which Wikipedia works under) intersects with UK copyright law. If a source was published before 1 January 1923 it's definitely public domain in the US, and if it's >70 years after the end of the calendar year in which the last author dies, or >70 years since the end of the calendar year in which it was published (if the author is unknown), then it's out of UK copyright. It gets a lot more complicated after 1923 - for instance Crown copyright only lasts for 50 years on published material.
