The State of Palestine (formerly the occupied Palestinian territories) comprise the West Bank (including East Jerusalem) and the Gaza Strip. The boundaries, subject to future negotiations, are generally regarded by the international community as being defined by the Green Line. Israel occupied the territories of the West Bank and Gaza Strip, which had been ruled by Jordan and Egypt respectively, in the Six Day War of 1967 and has occupied them since.
