Bipin's journey commenced in Ponkunnam, Kerala, where he laid the foundation of his academic endeavors at St. Berchmans College in Changanacherry. It was here that he crossed paths with Martin PS, today’s director and producer Martin Prakkat, recipient of the Kerala State Film Award for Best Director. After graduation, he furthered his studies at Maharaja's College, Ernakulam, immersing himself in the vibrant cultural life as the College Arts Club Secretary throughout the 1990s in both institutions.

As an author, Bipin Chandran has produced notable works, including "Mammootty: Kazhchayum Vayanayum," an insightful anthology of memoirs, interviews, and essays celebrating the cinematic journey of the legendary actor Mammootty. His literary repertoire also includes "Kriyaathmaka Jeevithathilekku Pathu Chuvadukal," a translation of Windy Dryden's "10 Steps to Creative Living," alongside "Best Actor Screenplay" and "Maayude Kathukal," which translates letters penned by Mandakini Narayanan to Ajitha. Recently, he unveiled "Ormayundo ee mukham," an exploration of the iconic dialogues prevalent in Malayalam cinema. His earlier literary pursuits include works such as "Kappithante Barya," his debut novel, and a variety of other titles like "Irattachanku," "Chithrajivithangal," "Mahanadan," "Armadachandran," and "Chandrahasam." His upcoming writing work is named ‘Mamoottycompany’ which will be published by DC Books.

Furthermore, Bipin made significant contributions to prominent publications such as IE Malayalam and Manorama Online, where he penned the popular columns "Chandrapaksham" and "Chandrahasam." Among his noteworthy achievements is the innovative program "Pusthakovsky," which aired on Mathrubhumi podcast.The said program won the honourable mention as the ‘best new audio/voice product or feature’ in the INMA WORLD OF MEDIA AWARDS 2023.

In addition to his literary accomplishments, Bipin’s cinematic talents have shone through as an actor in numerous films, including "Daddycool," "Buddy," "Samsaram Arogyathinu Hanikaram," "Kingliar," "Honeybee 2," "Driving Licence," "Underworld," "Tsunami," "Somante Krithavu," "Maharani," "Nadikar," and "Maranamass." A devoted commentator on cinema, he was honored with the 2019 Kerala State Film Award for Best Article on Cinema for his insightful critiques, "Komali Melkkai Nedunna Kaalam" and "Madambilliyile Manorogi."
