Anne van Gend

Anne van Gend is a writer and priest who serves as the Ministry Educator in the Anglican Diocese of Dunedin. She obtained a A.Mus.A; BA(UQ); GradDip Teaching (Griffith University); MTh (Brisbane College of Theology) and a PhD (Victoria University, Wellington),[1] which explored themes of atonement in teenage fantasy fiction.[2]

Van Gend was ordained deacon in 1996, priest in 1997, in the Diocese of Grafton.[3] She was nominated to be the eleventh Bishop of Dunedin in December 2024.[4][5]
