Amanda O'Regan (born in Dunhill in 1982) is a camogie player since 2002 with St Anne’s Dunhill and a corner-back and secondary school teacher currently based near Kilmeadan, who is the winner of Club medals back in 2003, 2008, 2008 and 2009. Amanda scored a crucial goal in the 2006 final when her speculative 45 found its way into the opponent goal. She was a nominee for the Raheen Woods Hotel Club All Star awards in 2006 and 2007 but did not make the cut at the time.
Amanda won three Ashbourne Cup medals with the UL. Amanada is the holder of Junior and Senior and many honours with the University and she is also and an accomplished basketball player.[citation needed] Amanda captained her club, Dunhill, to their first Senior county championship Title in 2005 and was back into captain again for the 2009 run.[1] She runs a burger restaurant with her husband.[2][3]
Family background
[edit]Her father, Micheal, won All-Ireland Minor football medal and Micheal is a selector today, while their mother, Christina, captured a Junior All-Ireland medal back in 1960.[citation needed]
