Ahmed Krnjić (born February 14, 1997) is a Bosnian heavyweight kickboxer and boxer, who currently competes in the heavyweight division of Glory.[2] Krnjić competed in ONE FC, SENSHI and KOK kickboxing organizations.[3] He is the current SENSHI European heavyweight champion and 2019 WAKO Pro European champion at cruiserweight.[4][5]

Career

Ahmed Krnjić started as an amateur kickboxer, his first trainer was the late Musa Selimović at Isak Gym Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He was 10 times Bosnian national kickboxing champion from 2013 to 2022. Parallel to his amateur kickboxing career, he competed in amateur boxing, being the national champion twice (2013, 2014).[6]

He won silver medals at the 2015 WAKO European Junior Championships and 2014 WAKO World Junior Championships. At senior level, he won silver medals at the 2017 WAKO World Championships and at the 2018 WAKO European Championships.[7] He concluded his amateur kickboxing career with a record of 34–8, and his amateur boxing career with a record of 12–2.

He is currently signed to the world's best kickboxing promotion Glory and is yet to make a debut early in 2025. He also competes as a professional boxer.[8]

Personal life

Ahmed Krnjić is a devout Sunni Muslim and a father of two.

He grew up in Varalići village in Kakanj, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Being religious and growing up in mountains has made his friends call him the Bosnian Khabib, due to the similarity with the famous Khabib Nurmagomedov.

He has a bachelor's degree in economics, concluding his studies at the Faculty of Economics, University of Zenica.[9]
