Adam Richardson (born 7 September 2003) is an English footballer who plays as goalkeeper for Blyth Spartans on loan from Sunderland.[1]
Club career
[edit]A product of the Sunderland academy, he joined the club as an eight year-old. He signed a first contract with the club 2020.[2] Following that, in July 2022 despite reported interest from Premier League clubs he signed a new contract with the club.[3][4] He signed a new three-year professional contract with the club in May 2023.[5] He was set to be included on the Sunderland first team pre-season tour in the summer of 2023 but suffered an injury set-back.[6]
In 2024, he had short term loans at Hebburn Town and Blyth Spartans.[7][8] He made his debut for Hebburn in the Northern Premier League Premier Division against Lancaster City in September 2024.[9] He made his debut for Blyth in the same division on 9 November 2024 against Warrington Rylands.[10]
International career
[edit]He played for England U17 against Austria U17 in September 2019 in the Syrenka Cup.[11][12]
