Abu Homeyzeh (Persian: ابوحميظه)[a] is a city in the Central District of Dasht-e Azadegan County, Khuzestan province, Iran.

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, Abu Homeyzeh's population was 5,247 in 4,865 households, when it was a village in Howmeh-ye Sharqi Rural District.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 5,501 people in 1,330 households.[5] The 2016 census measured the population as 5,506 people in 1,375 households,[2] by which time the village had been elevated to the status a city.
