Incumbent Edwin Jubahib (Partido Federal ng Pilipinas) is running for a full term. He was re-elected under Partido para sa Demokratikong Reporma with 60.61% of the vote in 2022.

From April 8 to July 8, 2024, the Office of the President suspended Jubahib. Oyo Uy became acting governor during Jubahib's suspension.

Incumbent Oyo Uy (Lakas–CMD) is running for the House of Representatives in Davao del Norte's 1st legislative district. He was elected under Hugpong ng Pagbabago with 58.64% of the vote in 2022.

From April 8 to July 8, 2024, Uy served as the acting governor after the Office of the President suspended Edwin Jubahib.
