The 2024–25 Florida Atlantic Owls men's basketball team represents Florida Atlantic University in the 2024–25 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Owls, led by first-year head coach John Jakus, play their home games at Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena in Boca Raton, Florida as a member of the American Athletic Conference (AAC).
Previous season
[edit]The Owls finished the 2023–24 season 25–9, 14–4 in AAC play to finish in second place. They beat North Texas in the quarterfinals[1] of the AAC tournament before losing to Temple in the semifinals.[2] They received an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament as the No. 8 seed in the East region. There they lost to Northwestern, ending their season.[3]
On March 24, 2024, head coach Dusty May left the school to take the head coaching position at Michigan.[4] On March 27, the school named Baylor assistant John Jakus the team's new head coach.[5]
