NBA professional basketball team season
NBA professional basketball team season
The 2020–21 Orlando Magic season was the 32nd season of the franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA). As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic , the regular season for the league began on December 22, 2020 and featured a 72-game schedule rather than the typical 82-game schedule.[ 1] The Magic missed the playoffs for the first time since the 2017–18 season . Following the season, head coach Steve Clifford and the Magic mutually agreed to part ways after three seasons with the team.[ 2]
