The 1951 Southern Jaguars football team represented Southern University as a member of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) during the 1951 college football season. In their 16th season under head coach Ace Mumford, the Jaguars compiled an overall record of 5–4–2 with a mark of 4–1–2 in conference play, tying for second place in the SWAC.[2]
