I changed East Shore back to South Shore, and wikified a link to it. "South Shore" is the conventional term used by local residents for the for the part of the island south of the Serpentine Ridge. The term "East Shore" is not in common use. -- Decumanus 19:40, 1 Feb 2004 (UTC)

I have removed the racial comments in the New Dorp piece. This should NOT be in a summary of the town.

Thank you.

Albanian-American?

A while back, someone tried to increase (without sourcing) many of the New York pages' demographic sections to wildly increase the Albanian-American percentage. I don't know if New Dorp has a significant Albanian-American population, or if this a recurrence of the earlier phenomenon. (I could check the Census numbers, but it's quite possible that the Albanian percentage has really increased since April 2000.) —— Shakescene (talk) 20:49, 10 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
