- It's good to hear that growth in budget is slowing, per the plan. I think it's easy for us on the English Wikipedia to forget about how much the WMF does to support the existence of projects in other languages. Perhaps only a couple dozen Wikipedias are really self-sustaining and could get along without non-technical support from the WMF. The reduction in office space also seems sensible. —Ganesha811 (talk) 00:23, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
- If anyone reading this knows about WMF's future plans and can tell me what these "technical innovation on the Wikimedia projects" consists of, a link would be very helpful. Thanks, in advance. Liz Read! Talk! 00:54, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
- Hey Liz! The link in that section (also here) gives more detail about the Endowment's current round of funding for technical innovation: Kiwix, Abstract Wikipedia, Future Audiences and MediaWiki improvements. --ELappen (WMF) (talk) 19:48, 20 November 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Good to hear that we are finally reducing the size of the office in one of the world's most expensive locations. I'd prefer to see a strategy of moving the HQ to a more cost effective location, and it would have been much better if this was done in 2009 in response to the strategy discussions then. But this is a move in the right direction. ϢereSpielChequers 11:31, 8 December 2024 (UTC)
