[edit]As an involved person/admin (I was a part of this Wiki event) I won't accept or decline this request for sure. A note to admin: There are way too many media coverages of this event, please see m:WikiConference India 2016/Press. In my opinion, CSD may not be the right option. --Tito Dutta (talk) 19:52, 18 August 2016 (UTC)
- I have done some claenups. I'll see if I can continue making some more changes keeping Wikipedia policies in mind. --Tito Dutta (talk) 19:55, 18 August 2016 (UTC)
- I believe press coverage doesn't answer the question of significance. Why is a conference of wikipedians significant to merit an article of its own? I believe merging this into Wiki Conference India might be appropriate, assuming that article belongs to wikipedia on the first hand. --asdofindia (talk) 02:41, 19 August 2016 (UTC)
- I think merging it with the main article will be better rather than creating a page of its own Vincentvikram (talk) 04:34, 19 August 2016 (UTC)
- Here I feel the press coverages indicate the importance of the event. The first Wikiconference India was organised in 2011, the second iteration was conducted this year. There is a main article. Should we have two separate articles -- that's the point to discuss. --Tito Dutta (talk) 05:31, 19 August 2016 (UTC)

I have moved it, as it is much more suitable for the Wikipedia project space. If independent references are available then an article could be proved notable. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 13:16, 19 August 2016 (UTC)
