Citation template for media guides and programs?

[edit]

Is there an existing citation template that works well for media guides and programs? Doing some updating of basketball articles and hard to find a good fit. Alternatively, should sports projects collaborate to create a template for citing sports periodicals - these are often an excellent source for factual info about players, coaches and teams. Thanks for any thoughts. Rikster2 (talk) 18:13, 11 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

BRFA overlapping WikiProjects Basketball & College basketball

Adrien Nunez was not a notable basketball player by conventional metrics, but he was one of the highest NIL earners in the first year of NIL. He now has 6.5 million TikTok followers. I am working on a draft of his page and want to get advice on proper formatting of two infoboxes and understand if there is a way to get his stats in the infobox (61 points in 62 games).-TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 07:56, 28 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I embeded the hoops ibx, similar to how you already did the music one. Otherwise, multiple dangling ibxs alwasy seem tacky. —Bagumba (talk) 08:24, 28 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Juwan Howard main image

[edit]

I added an image to the Michigan coaching section of the article. Since it is my own image, I will leave it to others whether to swap it with the current main image.-TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 05:15, 29 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Conference tournament in schedule?

[edit]

For some conferences only a limited number of teams compete in the conference tournament (Ivy League 4 of 8, Big Ten & ACC 15 of 18). Should we include the conference tournament in the schedule now if it is not a guaranteed game? See 2024–25_Wisconsin_Badgers_men's_basketball_team#Schedule_and_results and 2024–25_Oregon_Ducks_men's_basketball_team#Schedule_and_results where it is included vs. 2024–25_Michigan_Wolverines_men's_basketball_team#Schedule_and_results and 2024–25_Princeton_Tigers_men's_basketball_team#Schedule_and_results.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 07:04, 2 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Probably not a big deal to leave it in, and only remove it once it's official that the team doesn't qualify. Since we know that 50% of Ivy teams make it and 83% of ACC and Big Ten teams do, I feel like it makes more sense to delete just three teams' rows once it's official as opposed to deleting all 18 and re-adding 15 later on. Are there other DI conferences where this is an issue? P.S. I am still scratching my head as to why 16th out of 16 gets a tournament bid in the SEC and Big 12, but 16th out of 18 does not in the B1G and ACC.-TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 04:37, 3 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure honestly. Each conference's autonomy can lead to funky scheduling, I suppose. SportsGuy789 (talk) 17:05, 3 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
