Zool 250 is an overview of the phylogenetic, taxonomic, morphological and ecological diversity of invertebrate animals. It has in-person lectures and laboratories, and assessment items include quizzes, exams, dissections, drawings and a written assignment in which students work in small groups to write about the biology of a particular taxon. This last assignment is a Wikipedia assignment in which students working in groups of 2-4 improve the Wikipedia page for a poorly represented family or genus of invertebrates.
