    This page is intended for reports of usernames that are blatant and serious violations of the username policy requiring an immediate block. Reports will be assessed in accordance with the username policy, the UAA instructions, and the following bullet points. Please ensure you are familiar with the assessment criteria before making a report.

    1. Except in the instance of an egregious name violation, please do not report accounts with no edits or those who have not edited in the preceding 2 weeks.
    2. Real names are permitted, except when the editor implies they are someone other than themselves, such as impersonating a notable living person.
    3. Promotional names require evidence to be blocked. Do not report a username merely because it "appears" promotional.
    4. For libellous usernames or usernames that contain another editor's nonpublic personal information, please contact an oversighter and do not report it here.
    5. Discuss less-serious violations with the user on their talk page so that they can rename or abandon their account in good faith. Templates such as {{Uw-username}} or {{Uw-coi-username}} may be used. If, after discussion with a user, the problem still seems unresolved, a username request for comment may be in order.
    6. Do not leave a username warning on a user's talk page and also immediately report them here. Do one or the other, and not both simultaneously.
    7. Patrollers are asked to remove reports that have been declined, are bot-reported false positives or are otherwise non-blatant or stale reports.

    They are misrepresenting a band / musical group name which is not allowed.

    User is not affiliated with the band and they submitted an article for their uncle with the last name Ginenthal which is the last name of a person that has harrassed members of the band they are using their username as. User_talk:Tails_Wx/Archive_30#Question_from_Guilderbell_(00:33,_22_August_2024)

    User has been tagged as making repeated disruptive edits further mispresenting the band name and it's members in a negative way. User_talk:Guilderbell#August_2024

    Examples of unique name only used as a musical artist/band from credible sources of concert listings. [1][2]

    I don't see where the user mentions a band? The existence of a musical group with the same name might be a coincidence. Even if it's not, it could be simply a stage name, which is allowed. It seems like the band or artist is defunct, and the user isn't even mentioning a band. Helpful Raccoon (talk) 03:20, 24 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

    I'm trying to understand this. The person submitted an article for someone with the same surname as a guy who has harassed one of the band. You think this is some kind of stalker?     Not a blatant violation of the username policy, but it's worth keeping an eye on their edits. There are other issues with that user's edits and interactions with other users, but the username is not an issue here. OhNoitsJamie Talk 02:44, 26 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
    Not a violation of the username policy. Real names are permitted except when they imply that the editor is a specific living person they are not. Consider filing a report at the conflict of interest noticeboard.. For everything except blatant cases it's also better to wait till the user edits. For unknown reasons most newly registered accoutns never edit at all. Waiting to see if the person actually engages with Wikipedia avoids chasing down every possible COI or "yourmom" name from the endless list of new accounts. :) -- Euryalus (talk) 00:23, 26 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
    @Euryalus This seems almost blatant to me, especially given the information you have since deleted. This specific combination of words points to a specific person. However they haven't done anything, as someone said. So, leave it I guess Sandcat555 (talk) 03:35, 26 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
    Hi again, sorry but it's not a UAA. To be promotional a username must unambiguously represent the name of a company, organization, website, product, musical group or band, team, club, creative group, or organized event. None of these apply here - there's no company called "Mary Keller" or "Mary Keller Maryland" and there's no evidence of promotional editing by this account. -- Euryalus (talk) 03:45, 26 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
