The criteria for listing items is hardly any objective. None of the genres listed are sub-genres (hi-nrg has no sub-genres at all), most of them are just influenced by it to some extent (I would not even use "fusion" term for them), and others have only a sporadic relationship with the item (like euro disco and techno). The lower section also does not adhere to any kind of pattern or logic of inclusion, in some of these articles hi-nrg is not mentioned at all. So the template just replaces the category (Category:Hi-NRG) functions and has no objective criteria for inclusion. Solidest (talk) 22:47, 21 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Delete: per nom. If we want to be WP:WIKILAWYERs, we shouldn't be deleting a category in a TfD (instead it should be deleted per WP:G8). But I actually like listing it explicitly in the TfD, so everyone knows what exactly will be deleted. House Blaster^talk 02:34, 22 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Actually TFD have the infrastructure to deal with closely related categories with {{catfd}} and this is documented at WP:TFDHOW. I feel this have several benefits over just using G8 since it advertises the discussion in another place and can allow for people objecting to the category being deleted if they want to. --Trialpears (talk) 09:04, 22 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
