The decision to delete the article will not be in line with the essence of Wikipedia and would only create restrictions in promoting the right information. reasoning -Oliver Spy Fan (talk) 18:02, 30 September 2013 (UTC)
This has been deleted twice over the last 4 years. However since the very first deletion in 2009 many more articles have been written about the book. Many in major publications such as UK's Daily Mail average daily circulation of 1,991,275 copies http://www.dailymail.co.uk/article/ Prince Williams favorite list and Now Magazine Total circulation, 344,000 http://www.nowmagazine.co.uk More recent 2013 Beverly Hills book awards it won the juvenile fiction section. The Jason Steed novels book 1 Fledgling and book 2 revenge have both been reviewed by Kirkus Reviews. This is ignoring all internet reviews and smaller newspaper mentions of the novel. Jason Steed is now a series since the first deletion, according to the authors website book 3 is released November 2013. Oliver Spy Fan (talk) 18:02, 30 September 2013 (UTC)
- A bit of history to this here I think it's more than a couple of discussions on this over the years. "Now" magazine cheerfully declaring this to be the princes favourite childhood book - the prince was born in 1982, this book wasn't (self) published until 2008, making him 25/26 at the time, so much for "childhood" book, and so much for any pretense of any fact checking. I would suspect the DailyMail article to be based on a similar very dubious press release, which given the history of astroturfing type activity of this book should be of little surprise - a few internet searches of the title brings up many such silly stories on web forums, including apparently the imminent film (as it has been for years now) also apparently featuring the Prince. Regardless notability is about in depth coverage in multiple independent reliable sources, not trivial mentions associating to celebrities as a "favourite" - last I could tell Prince William hasn't been recognized as any sort of authority on literature. --86.5.93.42 (talk) 22:40, 1 October 2013 (UTC)
- Some additional here. I see the article has recently been deleted as a G4 by one of our more inclusionist admins. The kirkus review was discussed in the most recent deletion discussion as not being enough on it's own. The Beverly Hills book awards appear to be a fairly recent (The 2013 awards were the first, don't have a wikipedia article) whose primary focus for would be entrants appears to be promotional - [1]. It doesn't name the judging panel, so it's pretty difficult to show at this stage that the awards have any particular significance. Last but not least of course the purpose of WP:REFUND is quite clear, that it isn't to undo deletion discussions, something this material has had more than it's fair share of. --86.5.93.42 (talk) 07:07, 2 October 2013 (UTC)

Your suspicions that the Daily Mail article are based on a dubious press release is wrong. The Prince mentioned it on a TV interview in 2011. The Daily Mail has a readership of over 1.9 million daily. Lets stick to facts not opinions. The facts about significance it has won various awards, it has been noted in two major publications. It has been reviewed by Kirkus. Prince William is seen holding the book in the Daily mail. The book will be part of "Silly Internet' stories it's target audience is 11-14 year olds who now doubt made many up including videos on the book on you tube. Just because a novel was deleted years ago does not take its prominence away today. It would be nice to see how the author feels knowing his novel has been targeted and almost banned from Wikipedia? When I scroll through the many pages of over young adult books I have edited, very few have won so many awards, had a kirkus review, been mention in the Daily Mail, Now Magazine, or had so many articles written about them. Yet they survive. Is it the author is he a republican or an enemy of Wikipedia? Why does one novel have so much to prove? Oliver Spy Fan (talk) 17:59, 3 October 2013 (UTC)
- Now as above and carefully not responded to by you above reckons it was a childhood favourite, despite it being published many years after he left childhood - see WP:RS the sources are reliable if they have a reputation for fact checking, such a clear and obvious lack of fact checking hardly counts. Regardless the mail and No coverage are absolutely trivial. The Kirkus review was discussed and rejected in the last AFD. But all of this is irrelevant, read the page this is being posted on the nice banner at the top in big bold letters "Please note that this page is NOT for challenging the outcome of deletion discussions ", read on. This page isn't to overturn community consensus AFD discussions, which this had. --86.5.93.42 (talk) 19:47, 3 October 2013 (UTC)

Corm Capital
I did everything you told me to do regarding undeleting YOUR deletion of the Corm Capital article (including signing my posts!). Of course, YOU have all the right to delete it if it violates Wikipedia's guidelines. The fact is: you didn't even give me the time to correct the article to Wiki's guidelines which I am well aware of. You just swooped down (Darkwind!) and deleted the whole thing, erasing and losing my corrections and in the most UN-WIKIPEDIA manner and Gestapo worthy way! That, my friend, is not acceptable! You could have at least warned me or given me 30 minutes (!) to make the necessary corrections!
Anyway, after spending the day surfing Wikipedia, it specifies that I must take up the issue with the ADMIN who deleted my page. And that person is you M. Darthwind! Corm Capital is backed by dozens of reputable online authorities and I gave you a few (the S&P endorsement alone, the fruit of 3 months of research into my company and all its subsidiaries (!), should have been enough.
So for the last time, please undelete the page so that I can make the necessary corrections.
Again, PLEASE don't turn Wikipedia into Facebook! You are killing one of the rare pockets of online freedom remaining on the web.
THANK YOU MIGHTY DARKWIND!

- Comment: I'm reviewing this draft, and if you submitted anything that looked like that as an article, it's quite understandable why it was deleted. First - you agreed to not to write about yourself, or entities that you're involved in. Second, peacock phrases such as "of further interest due to the caliber of its management" detract from the message, and turn it all facebook-like. Third, claims of Ford being "the only car maker in the world" are outright false, and anyone reading that sentence would automatically wonder how much of the rest of the article was false. Fourthly, it's completely promotional. Finally (for now), I see nothing that makes it meet notability requirements. This really looks like nothing but poorly-considered self-promotion ES&L 10:32, 2 October 2013 (UTC)

- Regardless of the vitriol of the IP above, since the definition of notable is being included in "non-trivial sources" and the article with William is a veritable list of trivia about the Prince, Not done - this Requests for Undeletion process is only for articles that were deleted uncontroversially, and does not apply to articles deleted after a deletion discussion. Since the article you are here about was deleted after a discussion took place at Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Jason_Steed, it cannot be undeleted through this process. However, if you believe that the outcome of the discussion did not reflect the consensus of the participants, or that significant new information has come to light since the article was deleted, you may contact the administrator who closed the discussion. - Not done. That was much too promotional in tone - it was an advertisement, the sort of thing the school might write to promote itself and say how wonderful it is. Wikipedia does not allow promotional stuff like that anywhere, so it will not be restored, and I have deleted the copy of it in your sandbox. An encyclopedia article needs to have a neutral point of view. If you are connected with the school, read the Wikipedia:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide. In any case, if you want to try again, read Wikipedia:Your first article and then use Wikipedia:Articles for creation, so that an experienced user can check it. I would like to change the article, so it is more informative like true encyclopedic content should be, and not promotional. My article was deleted because of a G11 statement -Franksdatter86 (talk) 11:41, 7 October 2013 (UTC)
- Comment: I think there's more than "a [single] G11 statement" - the "article" looks like it belongs on Wikitravel, not in an encyclopedia of notable subjects. Very few restaurants belong on Wikipedia - its existence doesn't guarantee inclusion. See WP:NCORP ES&L 11:59, 7 October 2013 (UTC)
Not done - the article doesn't appear to be salvageable. If you have any association with this restaurant, please read WP:COI and use WP:AFC to submit the article for review instead of publishing it to main article space directly. ~Amatulić (talk) 22:26, 11 October 2013 (UTC)
Several G4 image undeletions needed
Hello, I'm on the road and only have a few minutes; I'd like to undelete some images that I deleted a few days ago, but I don't have time to find them. Please look for images that I've recently deleted that were uploaded by Beast from da East; you can check my talk page for links as well as checking for some deleted contributions from Stefan2 — Beast uploaded them, Stefan tagged them as G4, and I deleted them, but the "Various boxing posters" section of Wikipedia:Deletion review/Log/2013 October 6 reveals that they probably shouldn't have been deleted. If you're queasy about undeleting these images at my request, just please remember that you're effectively doing the self-revert that I'd do if I could. Nyttend (talk) 17:11, 7 October 2013 (UTC)

Valerie Loo
Hi there, it has come to my attention that you have deleted the page Valerie Loo and I would like to request for you to undo the deletion. Valerie is a young and budding Singaporean artiste and she has a growing influence among Singaporeans after her involvement in the television program Campus SuperStar (season 4). It is vital for her to have a wiki page for people to find out more about her. Some of the other contestants do have articles about themselves as well thus we see no reason as to why her page was marked for deletion even though it has even more adequate references cited about her. Please do consider undoing the deletion. It seems that it has been marked for deletion as it wasn't clearly stated enough about her significance in the Singapore music and online industry. We will be happy to make any changes to the article after the undoing of the deletion so as to improve the article. Thank you -Winstonbegone (talk) 03:38, 8 October 2013 (UTC)
- Not done - this article has not been restored because it does not appear to meet our guidelines for inclusion of articles about music. In general, Wikipedia considers a topic to be notable if there exist multiple reliable sources of information on the topic, external to the subject itself. reasoning -Futonic 07:38, 8 October 2013 (UTC) The page requested has been live for a long time and is in no way different from pages such as https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moz_(marketing_software) or even https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Everest_(company). There was no one item on the page that could be seen as being promotional and was all factual based on our companies history. I don't understand why this page seem to be unfairly targeted, when there are much worse "company pages" like the ones above which seem to live on... Any advice how we can make remain on Wikipedia would be gratefully received. - That's the boiler-plate answer, but I will explain a little more, since we do not explain clearly enough to new users the important fact that Wikipedia is not a place for companies or people to tell the world about themselves. Please read the Wikipedia:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide.
- The argument What about those other articles is not generally accepted, but I will point out that the two you reference differ from yours in giving a large number of independent references which show notability, whereas yours had only your website and your founder's LinkedIn, plus one which did not mention Metabolics; also, if you look at them, the Everest article was very obviously not written by the company's PR department, and the talk page of Moz contains considerable argument with the company's representatives. Why the article deleted often. I want to create article about famous notable person in south India. His name K.A.M. Mohammed Abubacker( The State general secretary of IUML in Tamil Nadu ).

http://indianunionmuslimleague.in/taxonomy/term/58/0
So am requesting to not delete this article named Abubacker. Now the page was protected. Please enable this article.
- Not done. This title, and K. A. M. Muhammed Abubacker, have been protected because unacceptable articles were repeatedly created by user Kamabubacker (talk). Writing about oneself is strongly discouraged in Wikipedia, for reasons explained in WP:Autobiography. The first few versions were in Tamil; the last was in English but was sourced only to a blog and seemed to be a personal manifesto, listing his objectives. An encyclopedia is not a place for people to tell the world about themselves.
- If you want to write an article about Mr Abubacker, you should start from scratch. Read WP:Your first article and note the WP:Verifiability policy and the need to establish notability by references showing significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources. Click on Help:Userspace draft and fill in the title; that will make a draft page for you to work on. Make sure to maintain a WP:Neutral point of view and do not try to promote. When it is ready, approach user Peridon (talk), the administrator who protected the title, for permission to post it. JohnCD (talk) 22:01, 9 October 2013 (UTC)

Why would you delete this when I was working on it with references. Someone does not want this on here. 98.122.39.11 (talk) 02:04, 13 October 2013 (UTC)
- Comment from a participant in Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Rent My Vacation Home USA: Even though the closing admin didn't say so in his closing remarks, the AFD was closed after only 4 days instead of 7. This is permissible if there is WP:SNOW but otherwise not. As to whether there was more than a snowballs chance in Hades of this article being able to demonstrate that the company was notable before the 7 days were up, well, if you are an admin (I am not), you have access to both the AFD and the full article history so you can judge it fairly. Given dates on the books above pre-date this company, I very much doubt they can aide in demonstrating that this company meets WP:Notability. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 02:52, 13 October 2013 (UTC)
- And another: David is right but it doesn't really matter. This facility is for reversing deletions by uncontroversial PROD. This article was deleted as the result of a deletion discussion - Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Rent My Vacation Home USA - and so the only appropriate place for review is the talk page of the deleting admin and then WP:DRV. Stalwart111 03:04, 13 October 2013 (UTC)
- Oops, slap me with a fish. My bad. I should've pointed him to WP:Deletion review straight away. However, I very much doubt that the AFD will be overturned. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 03:40, 13 October 2013 (UTC)
