If you are unable to complete a move for technical reasons, you can request technical help below. This is the correct method if you tried to move a page, but you got an error message saying something like "You do not have permission to move this page, for the following reasons:..." or "The/This page could not be moved, for the following reason:..."
If you are here because you want an admin to approve of your new article or your proposed page move, you are in the wrong place.

This will automatically insert a bullet and include your signature. Please do not edit the article's talk page.

the - If you object to a proposal listed in the uncontroversial technical requests section, please move the request to the Contested technical requests section, append a note on the request elaborating on why, and sign with ~~~~. Consider pinging the requester to let them know about the objection.
- If your technical request is contested, or if a contested request is left untouched without reply, create a requested move on the article talk and remove the request from the section here. The fastest and easiest way is to click the "discuss" button at the request, save the talk page, and remove the entry on this page.
Technical requests
[edit]Uncontroversial technical requests
[edit]- After School (EP) → After School (Melanie Martinez EP) (currently a redirect back to After School (EP)) (move · discuss) – There are other older EPs with the same title as Melanie Martinez's "After School," such as Whiteberry's debut EP "After School." I believe Melanie's page doesn't deserve to be called just "After School (EP)" as she was not the first one at all to call one of her EPs that specific term. Here is the most viable source I could find to prove that there WAS an EP made before hers called "After School." I also think it is important to bring attention to this as some of the songs on Whiteberry's EP would go on to be remade by the band later, thus making it an important part of the band's history, aside from being their very first release YoukaiJSGB (talk) 14:11, 25 December 2024 (UTC)
- Christina Hall → Christina Haack (currently a redirect back to Christina Hall) (move · discuss) – According to sources in the very article, she has reverted to her maiden name (Haack) professionally since her divorce. Erpert blah, blah, blah... 04:50, 25 December 2024 (UTC)
Requests to revert undiscussed moves
[edit]Contested technical requests
[edit]- PlatEAU → Plateau (band) (currently a redirect back to PlatEAU) (move · discuss) – Sources on page do not use this stylized capitalization. Current title seems like an unlikely search term so does not need to be kept as a redirect. QuietHere (talk | contributions) 10:19, 22 December 2024 (UTC)
- I'll point out that Wikipedia generally avoids stylization and unnecessary capitalization (WP:TMSTYLE, WP:CAPS); I'd second this move. You'll have to use the "discuss" link to open a full RM if you wish to proceed, however, as the request has been contested. RachelTensions (talk) 04:31, 24 December 2024 (UTC)
- @QuietHere I don't think it's uncontroversial given the band's website did use the stylized capitalisation Polyamorph (talk) 15:44, 22 December 2024 (UTC)
- Eurocopter EC135 → Airbus Helicopters H135 (currently a redirect back to Eurocopter EC135) (move · discuss) – Airbus Helicopters H135 has been the name since 2014, when Airbus Helicopters became the owner of the helicopter. TG-article (talk to me) (contributions) 13:45, 22 December 2024 (UTC)
- @TG-article Not uncontroversial. This move has been reverted twice (once in 2015 and again in 2018). Please see WP:COMMONNAME. GTrang (talk) 00:48, 23 December 2024 (UTC)
- New York Daily News → Daily News (New York) (currently a redirect back to New York Daily News) (move · discuss) – The name of the publication is not "New York Daily News", it is simply "Daily News". The proper title that follows the convention on Wikipedia is the one I have indicated here. Nightscream (talk) 06:57, 23 December 2024 (UTC)
- Contesting: the current title is the result of an RM and an RfC, so it would require further discussion to change. Extraordinary Writ (talk) 07:05, 23 December 2024 (UTC)
- Men's Cricket World Cup Qualifier (currently a redirect to ICC World Cup Qualifier) → Cricket World Cup Qualifier (currently a redirect instead to ICC World Cup Qualifier) (move · discuss) – Removal of "ICC" per RM discussion Vestrian24Bio (TALK) 15:33, 23 December 2024 (UTC)
- The 2021 RM showed consensus for ICC World Cup Qualifier. Article was moved without discussion in 2023 and 2024. I've reverted the article back to the consensus title. 162 etc. (talk) 17:55, 23 December 2024 (UTC)
- @162 etc.: The discussion says to first move the World Cup, which was done by the 2023 RM & 2024 RM, I linked with both concluding to be moved. Vestrian24Bio (TALK) 03:00, 24 December 2024 (UTC)
- As noted below in a duplicate entry, ICC World Cup Qualifier is WP:PCM because of the 2021 RM, and is therefore not eligible for WP:RMT. 162 etc. (talk) 19:10, 24 December 2024 (UTC)

- Interlaced arch → Interlaced arches (currently a redirect back to Interlaced arch) (move · discuss) – Only make sense in plurality Викидим (talk) 02:53, 24 December 2024 (UTC)
- I get why this has come up but it'd go against the article titling policy at WP:SINGULAR and as such should probably be discussed as an RM. RachelTensions (talk) 04:24, 24 December 2024 (UTC)
- ICC World Cup Qualifier → Cricket World Cup Qualifier (currently a redirect back to ICC World Cup Qualifier) (move · discuss) – Removal "ICC" and WP:CONSISTENT naming per these RM discussions Vestrian24Bio (TALK) 02:42, 24 December 2024 (UTC)
- One of the criteria for a bold move (WP:RMUM) is that "There has been no previous discussion about the title of the page that expressed any objection to a new title". Given all of these articles were included in a previous RM here that ended with a consensus to not move, they do not meet the criteria. RachelTensions (talk) 04:38, 24 December 2024 (UTC)

- Disney Junior (Southeast Asian TV channel) → Disney Junior (Southeast Asia) (currently a redirect back to Disney Junior (Southeast Asian TV channel)) (move · discuss) – "Disney Junior/Jr." is a TV channel by definition. The "TV channel" DAB is unnecessary. Intrisit (talk) 20:24, 23 December 2024 (UTC)
- There's Disney Jr. (programming block), which is not a TV channel, so the current disambiguation tag is correct. See WP:NCBC. 162 etc. (talk) 19:12, 24 December 2024 (UTC)
