Discussion

  • The date and time are solid. I'd like people to hang out, and maybe show Wikipedia to kids, work on local Wikipedia pages, etc. We have a lecture hall with wi-fi, one City laptop and a projector, AND/OR a lab with 10 desktops and a projector. I'd like to know what suits you best. There is metered parking at the library until 6 PM, a pay lot next door, and free street parking about a block away. We are a few blocks from the 405, near LAX, at Manchester and La Brea (parking lot entrance is behind the library off Queen St.) Joel J. Rane (talk) 17:58, 6 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Next time, then. --Olegkagan (talk) 04:26, 18 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Is there a nearby eatery where there could be an informal after-meetup-meetup for those who wish to schmooze after 8? Guy Macon (talk) 02:20, 19 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
There are plenty of decent restaurants, including a Sizzler, a well-known Belizean place, a Malaysian place, a Mexican bar/buffet etc. Joel J. Rane (talk) 22:30, 24 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hmmm. Sizzler's closes at 9PM, so that's no good for after a meeting that lasts until 8PM.
When I worked in Ingelwood for Mattel, we often ate at Norma's Restaurant (4412 W Century Blvd, Inglewood). It's a former Norms the food is good, and there is secure parking. Guy Macon (talk) 00:17, 25 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I won't be there, but please keep me informed of future events!
