Help with template
After expanding Tiger & Bunny, I managed to create articles for the two leads Barnaby Brooks Jr. and Kotetsu T. Kaburagi. Same with the movie Tiger & Bunny: The Rising. Considering there is already an episode list and character list, could I ask you to create a navigational box to make them easier to explore? Last time I tried created one, I ended up messing it up for some reason. Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 02:17, 9 April 2022 (UTC)
- @Tintor2: Done Feel free to rearrange it if you see any issue. - Xexerss (talk) 02:26, 9 April 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks a lot.Tintor2 (talk) 02:27, 9 April 2022 (UTC)
- Question. You think more articles like One Piece should replace the first manga volume with another cover that shows the actual main character. This happened with Reborn! where there is more focus on the mascot over the actual main character, Tsuna Sawada. This cover might be more represenative of the main duo [1] Tintor2 (talk) 20:44, 13 April 2022 (UTC)
- @Tintor2: I suppose, at least in the case of Reborn!, since AFAIK Tsuna is the main protagonist. I guess that we couldn't do the same thing with other series, like Black Lagoon, where so far, the covers only show the female cast and there are no covers of the main group. - Xexerss (talk) 00:42, 14 April 2022 (UTC)
I made an article for Maki Zennin since there was a lot of content especially with the film. Weird thing is that I'm confused with how the English publication uses her name so it might need to be moved. Feel free to be bold with any move.Tintor2 (talk) 19:43, 15 April 2022 (UTC)
Another new article to create for you
Hi Xexerss, there is another new article to create about a manga with a recently announced anime adaptation, can you create it? It's Ao no Orchestra.
Thanks.- Tebus19 (talk) 20:15, 11 April 2022 (UTC)

Yuji Itadori
Just throwing ideas, but considering Yuji Itadori's connection with Sukuna, you think the fanbook cover could serve as a better intro for the fanbook? See this. I ended up thinking about that when I found that remake Akutami made of Yuta Okkotsu alongside Rika as a tribute to Jujutsu Kaisen 0 and placed it in the lead. Then again, it must be really hard to make a png version since they are sorrounded by text. It reminds me to Hei (Darker than Black) article as there was at least an image for his dual persona. Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 00:47, 25 April 2022 (UTC)
- @Tintor2: I found that image of Yuji and Sukuna with a transparent background on this link [2] I guess this could count for something. Cheers. - Xexerss (talk) 02:58, 25 April 2022 (UTC)
Rene Rechtman draft
Hello Xexerss, my name is Eloise, it's nice to meet you. I noticed that you recently edited the Cocomelon article and thought you might be willing to look at my draft for René Rechtman, the founder and CEO of Moonbug Entertainment, which owns Cocomelon. If you think the article is ready to be included in mainspace, please feel free to publish it! Looking forward to your thoughts, Eloise Moonbug (talk) 16:17, 25 April 2022 (UTC)

Why
AEWFanboytalk 18:14, 10 May 2022 (UTC)
- @AEWFanboy: Hi AEWFanboy, is this for the Blue Exorcist edit? Well, I, at least, personally don't think is really important to note the stylization of the English title of a Japanese series, particularly when both the manga and anime have different stylizations, see [3] [4], but that's my take. Maybe you should discuss it on the talk page of the article if you disagree. Cheers. - Xexerss (talk) 18:23, 10 May 2022 (UTC)
Darker than Black's manga
I thought about creating an article for Shikkoku no Hana but I noticed Square didn't publish it in English regions despite it being published in other countries. If you get to find some sources for a potential article, that would be neat. Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 22:09, 13 May 2022 (UTC)

Would you consider becoming a New Page Reviewer?
Hi Xexerss, I've recently been looking for editors to invite to join the new page reviewing team, and after reviewing your editing history, I think you would be a good candidate. Reviewing/patrolling a page doesn't take much time but it requires a good understanding of Wikipedia policies and guidelines; the new page reviewing team needs help from experienced users like yourself. Would you please consider becoming a New Page Reviewer? Kindly read the tutorial before making your decision (if it looks daunting, don't worry, most pages are easy to review, and habits are quick to develop). If this looks like something that you can do, please consider joining us. If you choose to apply, you can drop an application over at WP:PERM/NPR. If you have questions, please feel free to drop a message on my talk page or at the reviewer's discussion board. Cheers, and hope to see you around, (t · c) buidhe 22:18, 2 June 2022 (UTC) |
New page reviewer granted
Hi Xexerss. Your account has been added to the "New page reviewers
" user group. Please check back at WP:PERM in case your user right is time limited or probationary. This user group allows you to review new pages through the Curation system and mark them as patrolled, tag them for maintenance issues, or nominate them for deletion. The list of articles awaiting review is located at the New Pages Feed. New page reviewing is vital to maintaining the integrity of the encyclopedia. If you have not already done so, you must read the tutorial at New Pages Review, the linked guides and essays, and fully understand the deletion policy. If you need any help or want to discuss the process, you are welcome to use the new page reviewer talk page. In addition, please remember:
- Be nice to new editors. They are usually not aware that they are doing anything wrong. Do make use of the message feature when tagging pages for maintenance so that they are aware.
- You will frequently be asked by users to explain why their page is being deleted. Please be formal and polite in your approach to them – even if they are not.
- If you are not sure what to do with a page, don't review it – just leave it for another reviewer.
- Accuracy is more important than speed. Take your time to patrol each page. Use the message feature to communicate with article creators and offer advice as much as possible.
The reviewer right does not change your status or how you can edit articles. If you no longer want this user right, you also may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. In cases of abuse or persistent inaccuracy of reviewing, or long-term inactivity, the right may be withdrawn at administrator discretion. signed, Rosguill talk 17:39, 5 June 2022 (UTC)
Hei's profile image
I have seen that some official websites of some series have the character's profile similar to the ones from Psycho-Pass. While googling I found this profile image of Hei but covered with merchandising. You think there is one that could be used to replace the current one and thus have a fullbody shot? Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 20:24, 29 May 2022 (UTC)
- @Tintor2: I couldn't find it with a decent quality (in my opinion), at least for the infobox, but I found this one which I think that may could work for the design section. Cheers. Xexerss (talk) 21:22, 29 May 2022 (UTC)
- Neat but you see, that image is made by Takahiro Komori while the actual creator of Hei's design is Yūji Iwahara (who also created the seinen manga). It's kinda like how Psycho-Pass had the characters created by Akira Amano and then were adapted for the television series. I tried searching Iwahara's sketches of Hei to create add it to design but I failed to find it. I remember a user found an early sketch where Iwahara states Hei's design was loosely based on a character from the first Gundam anime but I don't know the source of that commentary.Tintor2 (talk) 22:45, 29 May 2022 (UTC)
- @Tintor2: I see. Sadly, I have no idea if there's a better quality version of that illustration of Hei. However, if you think that it is enough for the infobox, I wouldn't oppose if you want to crop it and replace the other. Xexerss (talk) 01:29, 30 May 2022 (UTC)
- Addded the image. The need for a full body shot is sometimes preferred to make him easier to identify. I did see an artbook that had the same image but it was just without colors.Tintor2 (talk) 20:24, 30 May 2022 (UTC)
- I managed to find one. For some reason, searching for cosplayers result in comparisons with Hei's fullbody shot.Tintor2 (talk) 21:55, 10 June 2022 (UTC)
- @Tintor2: I found the image with a slightly better quality here. If cropped, it could be resized about the same size of the main image of the article of Yuji Itadori. The problem is that I have no idea how to remove the background. Xexerss (talk) 15:14, 11 June 2022 (UTC)
- Well there is a tool easy to find in google but it kinda ruins the image due to colors that contrast the clothing with the backgrounds. For example, Hei's coat loses parts in the middle of losing the background. The same happened when I tried to use that image for Suo's article so I don't know what is better. Ever seen those images from Heroes Phantasia? If possible they could even replace the infobox since it has Hei holding his Pierrot mask and Suo with her weapon.Tintor2 (talk) 18:11, 11 June 2022 (UTC)
- @Tintor2: I found a way to enlarge the image a bit keeping the quality. I couldn't remove the background though. It would look like the infobox image of Suo's article. If you don't mind, I could change it, but if you prefer it without the background, we could leave it as it is. Xexerss (talk) 12:31, 12 June 2022 (UTC)
- Sure. Feel free to do it.Tintor2 (talk) 14:31, 12 June 2022 (UTC)
separate article For the four main manga characters of "Saiyuki"
hello Xexerss, I wanted to say It is possible For the four main manga characters of Saiyuki (1.Genjyo Sanzo 2.Son Goku 3.Sha Gojyo 4.Cho Hakkai) to Make a separate article for them These characters have been in manga and anime more than 20 years old And They deserve a separate article Please can you create it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mahmood910 (talk • contribs) 23:32, 5 June 2022 (UTC)
- @Mahmood910: Hello Mahmood910. I'm sorry, but to be honest, I don't know too much about the series and I don't have enough experience in creating articles about characters. As far as I know, how old a series is not as relevant as how much coverage about these specific characters is available out there, mainly including all kind of information regarding their creation, appearances and reception. Also, these articles should avoid an in-universe perspective. I noticed that you've already tried to create some of these articles, but I would suggest to firstly make a draft and ask for more guidance to other editors with more knowledge about this kind of articles, and only when they contain enough content, acceptable structure and the appropriate number of references, they should be moved to main space. You can check these four character articles which may serve as a guide to create an article of this kind. I hope this can help you somehow. Cheers. Xexerss (talk) 11:54, 6 June 2022 (UTC)

- @Mahmood910: I could, but I would need some evidence of notability before. At the moment, I can't find enough reliable secondary sources, only user-generated websites. The series is relatively new, so maybe later there will be more sources, but at the moment, it doesn't seem reasonable to create an article. Cheers. - Xexerss (talk) 22:34, 13 May 2022 (UTC)

Worldwide manga sales relevance
Not sure what you mean how its WP:UNDUE and irrelevant. Wouldn't that apply the same to DS,CSM,MHA etc US sale paragraphs? I agreed with this notion before which is why i discussed with you earlier, but you seemed to think it was important enough.
Conan overperformance in Vietnam is something to mention. Bigger than MHA's in the US for example. 1.3 million digital legal readership per volume is actually bigger than any manga in any English speaking country. WillsEdtior777 (talk) 18:17, 16 June 2022 (UTC)
- I left the part about its performance in Vietnam, just shortened. I don't know why we should detail how certain volumes have sold in Vietnam when in Japan and North America we're just addressing the general sales. In the English Wikipedia is not irrelevant how a series performs in (precisely) English-speaking countries. Xexerss (talk) 18:32, 16 June 2022 (UTC)
- Well English speaking countries sales are a minority therefore they're WP:Undue. Irregardless of this being an English Wikipedia. Majority of sales come from Japan so we should summarize every manga as being Sold x million in Japan and X worldwide.Unless nearly half or over half of its circulation happen to be outside Japan due to immense popularity, like Dragon ball.
- Half of One_Piece#Sales would be removed too. WillsEdtior777 (talk) 18:43, 16 June 2022 (UTC)
- Sorry, I don't get your point, what do you mean with minority? I'm just talking about the Case Closed article. Performance section in other articles will depend from case to case. I'm just saying that if we're talking about how the series have sold in Japan and North America in general terms, I don't get why we should detail how volumes 92, 93, 94, etc have sold each in Vietnam. Xexerss (talk) 18:50, 16 June 2022 (UTC)
- Minority as in minority in % of sales. But given higher weight in the article terms of details and text.
- Performance section in other articles will depend from case to case --- What do you mean by this? how would it differ unless its an exceptional manga like Dragon Ball?
- I'm just saying that if we're talking about how the series have sold in Japan and North America in general terms --- Not sure i understand you here. What does NA have to do with Conan article?
- I don't get why we should detail how volumes 92, 93, 94, etc have sold each in Vietnam You're correct. your edit is great in that part. But i don't get why you removed that part of it topping publishing books list nationwide and the fact that it is the most popular manga in Vietnam currently.
- As said One_Piece#Sales clearly goes into more detail in the french section. and the US section doesn't even have any numbers.
- From my understanding of WP:Undue a perfect implementation (Again, unless its an exception like Dragon ball) would be like this:
- Detailed sales in Japan whenever its released and worldwide sales number after the circulation.
- Or
- Detailed sales in Japan same as above. And worldwide sales by country if available.the latter which applies to MHA,SD etc as some examples of manga with specific countries circulation we have. Although this is rare to come by. WillsEdtior777 (talk) 19:20, 16 June 2022 (UTC)
- I'm not going to discuss what standard should we apply for every anime/manga sales section, you better discuss it on the anime/manga project talk page, not with me. I'm just gonna address the Case Closed article. Check the Sales section and see how the third paragraph is about performance in North America, not explicitly stated, but the citations are about BookScan, Diamond Comic and NYT rankings, so it's clear that is about performance in North America. Since the section is about sales, saying that it's one of the best-selling manga in Vietnam obviously implies that it's one of the most popular manga there too, so it would be redundant to say that it is both a best-seller and popular. When I say that in the English Wikipedia is not irrelevant how a series performs in English-speaking countries, it has nothing to do with how much they represent to the worldwide sales of a series, but what kind of information is relevant to readers, who are mostly English-speaking. Similarly as how we prioritize details regarding licenses and broadcasting in English-speaking countries over other languages. Xexerss (talk) 19:41, 16 June 2022 (UTC)
Stand Alone Complex
I still haven't finished 2nd Gig but do you believe Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex and 2nd Gig should be split? I know it's a sequel but it has different staff members and quite some time between the episodes. Same with the songs.Tintor2 (talk) 21:22, 19 June 2022 (UTC)
- @Tintor2: As always, I would say that it depends on how much content is available out there specifically of 2nd Gig. I know that the series has a lot of coverage, so maybe it wouldn't be that hard to expand sections like production or reception, in that case, I wouldn't oppose to the idea of creating another article. Xexerss (talk) 21:39, 19 June 2022 (UTC)
A brief copypaste plus some additions led to this state.Tintor2 (talk) 00:34, 20 June 2022 (UTC)

New Page Patrol newsletter June 2022
Hello Xexerss,
- Backlog status
At the time of the last newsletter (No.27, May 2022), the backlog was approaching 16,000, having shot up rapidly from 6,000 over the prior two months. The attention the newsletter brought to the backlog sparked a flurry of activity. There was new discussion on process improvements, efforts to invite new editors to participate in NPP increased and more editors requested the NPP user right so they could help, and most importantly, the number of reviews picked up and the backlog decreased, dipping below 14,000[a] at the end of May.
Since then, the news has not been so good. The backlog is basically flat, hovering around 14,200. I wish I could report the number of reviews done and the number of new articles added to the queue. But the available statistics we have are woefully inadequate. The only real number we have is the net queue size.[b]
In the last 30 days, the top 100 reviewers have all made more than 16 patrols (up from 8 last month), and about 70 have averaged one review a day (up from 50 last month).
While there are more people doing more reviews, many of the ~730 with the NPP right are doing little. Most of the reviews are being done by the top 50 or 100 reviewers. They need your help. We appreciate every review done, but please aim to do one a day (on average, or 30 a month).
- Backlog drive
A backlog reduction drive, coordinated by buidhe and Zippybonzo, will be held from July 1 to July 31. Sign up here. Barnstars will be awarded.
- TIP – New school articles
Many new articles on schools are being created by new users in developing and/or non-English-speaking countries. The authors are probably not even aware of Wikipedia's projects and policy pages. WP:WPSCH/AG has some excellent advice and resources specifically written for these users. Reviewers could consider providing such first-time article creators with a link to it while also mentioning that not all schools pass the GNG and that elementary schools are almost certainly not notable.
- Misc
There is a new template available, {{NPP backlog}}
, to show the current backlog. You can place it on your user or talk page as a reminder:
Very high unreviewed pages backlog: 13830 articles, as of 14:00, 28 November 2024 (UTC), according to DatBot
There has been significant discussion at WP:VPP recently on NPP-related matters (Draftification, Deletion, Notability, Verifiability, Burden). Proposals that would somewhat ease the burden on NPP aren't gaining much traction, although there are suggestions that the role of NPP be fundamentally changed to focus only on major CSD-type issues.
- Reminders
- Consider staying informed on project issues by putting the project discussion page on your watchlist.
- If you have noticed a user with a good understanding of Wikipedia notability and deletion, suggest they help the effort by placing
{{subst:NPR invite}}
on their talk page. - If you are no longer very active on Wikipedia or you no longer wish to be part of the New Page Reviewer user group, please consider asking any admin to remove you from the list. This will enable NPP to have a better overview of its performance and what improvements need to be made to the process and its software.

A random question
Hi Xexerss, I have a question, i don't know why, Why this article exists on the wiki but is not searched on the internet And it does not come at all. If you know, please tell me
Fist of north star sales
In the article it is 2006 because that's when it was announced. There hasn't been any new circulation updates since. Obviously it has sold more both in Japan and worldwide since then, but we won't know unless they officially announce it so that's a moot point. As for both the article and best selling manga list. It is important to indicate or have the oldest source as to see when it was announced. Do you update every manga every year to keep the source updated every year? No. We should update when new circulation is announced. Also putting a 2016 source or 2022 year will mislead people thinking it accomplished the 100M feat as of 2022. Not before. WillsEdtior777 (talk) 02:11, 27 June 2022 (UTC)
- @WillsEdtior777: If I were some casual reader and saw something like sale figures, which I should reasonably expect to vary over the years, I'll probably ask myself: "why are they using some source from 2006 when the figures of this series should definitely have increased by now?" – I think that a source from 2020, even if it doesn't evidence any change compared to the figures from 2006, at least will serve to precisely prove that the publisher has (officially) not reported any change in the series' circulation in over 10 years (even if it most likely actually has). Of course knowing the year (and month in various cases) makes sense when we have regular updates on sales figures, let's say on a monthly, quarterly or even a yearly basis, as long as they're from a relatively close period of time. My point is: if we are in 2022 and the last figures report of the series is from 2006, what does it matter at this point to know that, when we could leave it as "it has over 100 million copies in circulation" and nothing else, since most sites are currently reporting the exact same figures? "Also putting a 2016 source or 2022 year will mislead people thinking it accomplished the 100M feat as of 2022"...well, there goes my point and that's why I'm saying that noting a particular year for the report ("as of [insert year]"), in this case, is utterly pointless if the figures haven't had variations in 16 years. Xexerss (talk) 03:44, 27 June 2022 (UTC)
- Also, I found this source from 2005 stating that by that year the series already had over 100 million copies in circulation. Now, is there really any point or necessity in indicating that "as of 2005 the series had over 100 million copies in circulation"? - Xexerss (talk) 12:55, 27 June 2022 (UTC)

Music
Yesterday I created Ichizu/Sakayume, the two songs from the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie. I'm not skilled at writing music articles but I managed to find some stuff about its basis and how music critics reacted to it. Still, like the tag I placed it seems Japanese Wikipedia has a lot more that can be added but I'm not sure exactly what. Feel free to add or revise anything. Tintor2 (talk) 23:26, 5 July 2022 (UTC)

Vanitas template
I've been creating articles related with The Case Study of Vanitas including List of The Case Study of Vanitas characters, Vanitas (The Case Study of Vanitas) and there is already a List of The Case Study of Vanitas episodes. Do you think it's possible to create a template for navigation? I'm not experienced with templates Tintor2 (talk) 17:37, 27 July 2022 (UTC)
- @Tintor2: Done Template:The Case Study of Vanitas I don't how many articles are necessary to create a template, but it surely could be expanded. If you can write summaries for each volume in the volume list section, I suppose that it could warrant a split. Cheers. Xexerss (talk) 18:17, 27 July 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks. I already wrote the summaries for the first nine volumes so I split it. However, it will take far more to update it since the author put it on hiatus after the 10th volume.Tintor2 (talk) 23:34, 27 July 2022 (UTC)
New Page Patrol newsletter August 2022
Hello Xexerss,
- Backlog status
After the last newsletter (No.28, June 2022), the backlog declined another 1,000 to 13,000 in the last week of June. Then the July backlog drive began, during which 9,900 articles were reviewed and the backlog fell by 4,500 to just under 8,500 (these numbers illustrate how many new articles regularly flow into the queue). Thanks go to the coordinators Buidhe and Zippybonzo, as well as all the nearly 100 participants. Congratulations to Dr vulpes who led with 880 points. See this page for further details.
Unfortunately, most of the decline happened in the first half of the month, and the backlog has already risen to 9,600. Understandably, it seems many backlog drive participants are taking a break from reviewing and unfortunately, we are not even keeping up with the inflow let alone driving it lower. We need the other 600 reviewers to do more! Please try to do at least one a day.
- Coordination
- MB and Novem Linguae have taken on some of the coordination tasks. Please let them know if you are interested in helping out. MPGuy2824 will be handling recognition, and will be retroactively awarding the annual barnstars that have not been issued for a few years.
- Open letter to the WMF
- The Page Curation software needs urgent attention. There are dozens of bug fixes and enhancements that are stalled (listed at Suggested improvements). We have written a letter to be sent to the WMF and we encourage as many patrollers as possible to sign it here. We are also in negotiation with the Board of Trustees to press for assistance. Better software will make the active reviewers we have more productive.
- TIP - Reviewing by subject
- Reviewers who prefer to patrol new pages by their most familiar subjects can do so from the regularly updated sorted topic list.
- New reviewers
- The NPP School is being underused. The learning curve for NPP is quite steep, but a detailed and easy-to-read tutorial exists, and the Curation Tool's many features are fully described and illustrated on the updated page here.
- Reminders
- Consider staying informed on project issues by putting the project discussion page on your watchlist.
- If you have noticed a user with a good understanding of Wikipedia notability and deletion, suggest they help the effort by placing
{{subst:NPR invite}}
on their talk page. - If you are no longer very active on Wikipedia or you no longer wish to be part of the New Page Reviewer user group, please consider asking any admin to remove you from the list. This will enable NPP to have a better overview of its performance and what improvements need to be made to the process and its software.

Ichizu Sakayume
I tried expanding Ichizu/Sakayume using sources from Japanese Wikipedia. However, for some reason the limited edition cover doesn't work well in the template even though I used Gurenge as a model. Could you check it? Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 15:01, 7 August 2022 (UTC)
NPP message
Hi Xexerss,
- Invitation
For those who may have missed it in our last newsletter, here's a quick reminder to see the letter we have drafted, and if you support it, do please go ahead and sign it. If you already signed, thanks. Also, if you haven't noticed, the backlog has been trending up lately; all reviews are greatly appreciated.

New template
I've been expanding another series: Vinland Saga (manga) and wondered if you could create a template for better navigation. Regarding to The God of High School
Someone from FanVerse told me that there is going to be one more episode after 564. Because while I was using Fast Pass and read up to episode 564 in Webtoon, the last page mentioned 17 years timeskip. - @GodsVileandDarkwing: At least this tweet states that it was the conclusion. [7] It also says that "an epilogue is coming", but it doesn't say that it will posted on September 30. Perhaps we should wait for the release before making any assumption. Xexerss (talk) 19:49, 26 September 2022 (UTC)
The epilogue got posted on September 30, turns out it's not the only epilogue. There are going to be more epilogues afterwards so let's get rid of the end date. XSegaTeamPhilosophyX 06:02, 30 September 2022 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by GodsVileandDarkwing (talk • contribs)
Characters
Hello, Xexerss.
I wanted to ask you something about a character article, if I want to create an article for the main character of The Promised Neverland (Emma) what should I name it ?
Just Emma or Emma (character) or Emma (The Promised Neverland character). Give me the right example ?
Thanks. ^^ Phil81194 (talk) 16:31, 9 September 2022 (UTC)
- @Phil81194: Hi Phil81194. Since Emma is a fairly common name, 'Emma (The Promised Neverland character)' would be the best choice, even if we don't have an article simply called 'Emma (character)'. Cheers. Xexerss (talk) 16:36, 9 September 2022 (UTC)
Ohho that was a great and quick answer, thanks man.
The same goes with the rest of the characters right ? Like Ray and Norman ? Phil81194 (talk) 16:39, 9 September 2022 (UTC)
- Yes, same criteria. Xexerss (talk) 16:46, 9 September 2022 (UTC)
Hello Xexerss.
I want to ask you a few questions, can you explain to me what happened in Norman's article in a simple way ? I didn't understand. Thanks. Phil81194 (talk) 14:52, 24 September 2022 (UTC)
- @Phil81194: Hi Phil81194. What exactly do you mean? Xexerss (talk) 19:17, 24 September 2022 (UTC)
In the last edit, the user deleted everything and asked for something I didn't understand. He was asking for reliable sources but the article does have reliable sources. And for more content, the article exsist only for 2 weeks so I was going to add more content. I have never experienced this so that's why I asked you. Phil81194 (talk) 19:57, 24 September 2022 (UTC)
- @Phil81194: The article looks very good to me and it would be great if you can add more secondary sources anyway, to further warrant its notability. Onel5969 has more experience than me on this site, so probably you should directly ask them why the decision. Cheers. Xexerss (talk) 20:06, 24 September 2022 (UTC)
Hello Xexerss. It's me again. I hope I'm not bothering you with my questions. ^^
I wanted to ask you about Anime UK News, is it a reliable source for news and reviews or not ? For me it is but I'm not sure. Thanks. Phil81194 (talk) 10:23, 11 October 2022 (UTC)
- @Phil81194: Hi Phil81194. Currently, the website is not formally included in WP:A&M/ORS, but the reliability of Anime UK News have been discussed before, and since they have an editorial staff and have been cited several times by Anime News Network, I personally think that they are reliable. Unless there were more discussions and the consensus was that they're not reliable, there should be no problem in citing them. Cheers. Xexerss (talk) 16:05, 11 October 2022 (UTC)
Tekken: Bloodline
I expanded the short anime article Tekken: Bloodline and had it copyedited. The copyeditor pointed out some issues about certain sources which might not be approved. Could you give it a look? Also, it has a six episode table but since there wasn't a single title or change of staff, I wonder if we should remove it similar to Darker than Black Gaiden. Cheers. Tintor2 (talk) 22:14, 21 October 2022 (UTC)
- I'll take a look at it and try to help soon. Regarding the stuff with the staff, the column is redundant in my opinion. Xexerss (talk) 22:26, 21 October 2022 (UTC)
New Page Patrol newsletter October 2022
Hello Xexerss,
Much has happened since the last newsletter over two months ago. The open letter finished with 444 signatures. The letter was sent to several dozen people at the WMF, and we have heard that it is being discussed but there has been no official reply. A related article appears in the current issue of The Signpost. If you haven't seen it, you should, including the readers' comment section.
Awards: Barnstars were given for the past several years (thanks to MPGuy2824), and we are now all caught up. The 2021 cup went to John B123 for leading with 26,525 article reviews during 2021. To encourage moderate activity, a new "Iron" level barnstar is awarded annually for reviewing 360 articles ("one-a-day"), and 100 reviews earns the "Standard" NPP barnstar. About 90 reviewers received barnstars for each of the years 2018 to 2021 (including the new awards that were given retroactively). All awards issued for every year are listed on the Awards page. Check out the new Hall of Fame also.
Software news: Novem Linguae and MPGuy2824 have connected with WMF developers who can review and approve patches, so they have been able to fix some bugs, and make other improvements to the Page Curation software. You can see everything that has been fixed recently here. The reviewer report has also been improved.
Suggestions:
- There is much enthusiasm over the low backlog, but remember that the "quality and depth of patrolling are more important than speed".
- Reminder: an article should not be tagged for any kind of deletion for a minimum of 15 minutes after creation and it is often appropriate to wait an hour or more. (from the NPP tutorial)
- Reviewers should focus their effort where it can do the most good, reviewing articles. Other clean-up tasks that don't require advanced permissions can be left to other editors that routinely improve articles in these ways (creating Talk Pages, specifying projects and ratings, adding categories, etc.) Let's rely on others when it makes the most sense. On the other hand, if you enjoy doing these tasks while reviewing and it keeps you engaged with NPP (or are guiding a newcomer), then by all means continue.
- This user script puts a link to the feed in your top toolbar.
Backlog:
Saving the best for last: From a July low of 8,500, the backlog climbed back to 11,000 in August and then reversed in September dropping to below 6,000 and continued falling with the October backlog drive to under 1,000, a level not seen in over four years. Keep in mind that there are 2,000 new articles every week, so the number of reviews is far higher than the backlog reduction. To keep the backlog under a thousand, we have to keep reviewing at about half the recent rate!
- Reminders
- Newsletter feedback - please take this short poll about the newsletter.
- If you're interested in instant messaging and chat rooms, please join us on the New Page Patrol Discord, where you can ask for help and live chat with other patrollers.

- Wikipedia is not a place for speculation and most of the content that you added is just original research. Also, if there is no English release, we simply don't have to mention it, no stating "no English version has been released" or the like. Xexerss (talk) 14:23, 11 November 2022 (UTC)

If you want to expand the info of the characters, terms and other things, then go to the Wikia of the series. Xexerss (talk) 14:36, 11 November 2022 (UTC)

But then again, can you explain why Priest manhwa is not considered dark fantasy?
Inuyasha4560 (talk) 20:02, 17 November 2022 (UTC)
- @Inuyasha4560: No idea if it is considered a dark fantasy series or not, but you should add a citation from a reliable source stating that it is a dark fantasy series and not just change the genre because you think that it is a dark fantasy manga. The note is fairly clear: "Use and cite reliable sources to identify genre/s, not personal interpretation." On another note, it is a manhwa, not a manga, and it doesn't have a Japanese animated adaptation, so it shouldn't be included in the category. Xexerss (talk) 20:06, 17 November 2022 (UTC)

An article for Denji?
Hi there. With the whole release of the Chainsaw man anime I noticed the media started writing articles about its protagonist, Denji:
- https://www.animefeminist.com/chainsaw-man-episode-1/
- https://www.cbr.com/chainsaw-man-chapter-103-denji-hiding-secret/

I'm pretty sure Denji passes GNG guidelines. There are also several episode and manga volumes reviews from the main article that really stand out about Denji. However, I kinda have a problem. I don't remember too much of the manga since I read it two years ago and now I'm getting into the anime. Since you have been editing the main series article, I'm pretty sure you could write an article about Denji if you are interested. Feel free to ask me for help if you want it. Cheers. - @Tintor2: Hi. I think that an article for Denji would be great. The character has enough coverage and surely will have more in the next weeks/months. However, as I said before when you asked me for the Guts (Berserk) article, I don't have experience in creating character articles. Also, I don't know if there is enough sources out there for the production section. I think that you did a good job in expanding the Yuji Itadori article, so I honestly think that you would create a better article than me. Of course, If I'm able to find material to contribute, I'll let you know. Cheers. Xexerss (talk) 23:11, 18 November 2022 (UTC)
- I'll see if posting in the character article helps.Tintor2 (talk) 23:16, 18 November 2022 (UTC)
Thanks to other users Denji (Chainsaw Man) was created with interesting sources for the creation section too. For the reception section I used some sources from the Chainsaw Man article. Still, no sure if we should use a another version of his hybrid persona as it only has one in about his head. The article is lacking categories though. Feel free to revise it.Tintor2 (talk) 13:39, 19 November 2022 (UTC)
By the way, since Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School was the original release while Jujutsu Kaisen 0 was a rereleased oneshot made after volume 1, should we change the infobox when it comes to first appearance? Kinda confused there.Tintor2 (talk) 13:58, 26 November 2022 (UTC)
- Do you mean like listing volume 0 before the own Jujutsu Kaisen in its infobox or something like that? If so, I guess that any order is fine. Xexerss (talk) 18:38, 26 November 2022 (UTC)
- I mean for introductions. Volume 0 was released after volume 1. What came before volume 1 were the fourth chapters from Jump Giga but still not released in volume and in another title.Tintor2 (talk) 22:35, 26 November 2022 (UTC)
- It is related to the "prequel" thing that I commented in the Jujutsu Kaisen article? I supposed that since, regardless of the title, Jujutu Kaisen 0 was technically published before the own series, I'm not sure if it really counts as a prequel, even if the chapters were collected in a volume released after the main series. Most sources call it a prequel anyway, and for convenience, it should be fine to call it like that. Perhaps it's more a matter of personal choice. I don't know if that's the point of your question, but I'm ok if you want to make a change. Xexerss (talk) 23:11, 26 November 2022 (UTC)

Just created Kurama (YuYu Hakusho). He had far more GNG than the actual protagonist of the series, Yusuke, so I instead made an article for him. Happened the same thing when I started editing Bungo Stray Dogs. Feel free to revise it.Tintor2 (talk) 03:14, 17 December 2022 (UTC)
- @Tintor2: Looks very good. It would be great if there was an article for Yusuke too, but of course, that depends on the coverage. By the way, I think that there must be enough sources to create articles for some Hunter × Hunter characters. Wonder why nobody has created some yet. Xexerss (talk) 12:36, 17 December 2022 (UTC)
I guess I had luck that Kurama had an entire fansite devoted to interviews regarding his creation. I haven't tried checking Hunter x Hunter articles yet though.Tintor2 (talk) 13:24, 17 December 2022 (UTC)
Can't find Gng info about Gon other than an Anime News Network which explains how different he is from Goku. Maybe, leaving sources in the talk page of the list would help.Tintor2 (talk) 21:00, 17 December 2022 (UTC)
- I'll see if I can find good sources and add them to the talk page when I can. Xexerss (talk) 13:39, 18 December 2022 (UTC)
Merry Christmas. I hope you enjoy the day.Tintor2 (talk) 22:58, 25 December 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you very much, pal. I hope you had a wonderful time too. Xexerss (talk) 00:19, 26 December 2022 (UTC)

Hello, I'm the user who posted the information regarding the cumulative one million/100万 copies sold as of December 2022. This information officially comes from the last page of the online Japanese release of Chapter 33-2, which also announced the release of Volume 5. Here's the link. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ao Kusanagi (talk • contribs) 07:00, 26 December 2022 (UTC)
- Hi. We should wait for a secondary source for the announcement, or at least for some post from an official account that can report the info in a more quick and accessible way instead of having to navigate through the pages just to verify it with an image. Xexerss (talk) 07:46, 26 December 2022 (UTC)
- Fair point. Ao Kusanagi (talk) 08:10, 26 December 2022 (UTC)
