Rino Sashihara notability issues
[edit]Hi. I see you replaced the redirect at Rino Sashihara with the earlier unsourced text, but unfortunately this does not meet the standards of WP:MUSICBIO, and also contravenes the WP:BLP guidelines about unsourced articles on living people, so I have reinstated the redirect to AKB48. If, at a later date, you are able to add reliable third-party sourcing to the article to demonstrate sufficient self-standing notability, please feel free to reinstate the article text. But I do suggest you read through the guidelines at WP:MUSICBIO and WP:BLP first. Thank you. --DAJF (talk) 05:30, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
- Did you really read through the article before reverted it to redirect? I added information about her TV program, which makes her status matching WP:MUSICBIO. ---What can I do for someone?- (talk) 05:43, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
- And, I need to ask you if articles for Japanese idols are only evaluated by musician's standard you quoted, not only Sashihara's case, especially for some of those quite a part of whose media appearances are unrelated to their music activities but more "variety" programs. If Wikipedia:Notability_(people)#Entertainers applies, the person's article should go with that standard, instead of musician's one, I think.---What can I do for someone?- (talk)
- That's true; the notability criteria for general entertainers do seem to offer more leeway. But either way, we still need some reliable third-party sourcing beyond links to the person's own website or that of their agency in order to conform to WP:BLP. Thanks. --DAJF (talk) 06:11, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
- I reinstated the article with third-party information as well as other information which supports her notability added.---What can I do for someone?- (talk) 06:13, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
We know he hasn't signed the contract, it's in all the sources. But he has AGREED to sign the contract, all the personal terms have been AGREED. He will only sign the contract when the medical is passed and he has a work permit. That's why we used the word "agreed", rather than "signed". – PeeJay 10:50, 8 June 2012 (UTC)
- You are not the one to determine Kagawa's intention, but should bring up the reliable source which clearly indicates that HE HIMSELF has AGREED, unless you are him. As the reliable news source I quoted indicates, "I haven't put pen to paper yet," that is what he HIMSELF had committed publicly at the press conference.---What can I do for someone?- (talk) 15:42, 8 June 2012 (UTC)
- The clubs wouldn't say that Kagawa has agreed a contract if he hadn't agreed the contract. As I have tried to tell you a number of times, WE KNOW he hasn't actually "put pen to paper", but he has agreed to the terms presented to him. – PeeJay 18:51, 8 June 2012 (UTC)
- Then, show me reliable sources which CLEARLY STATES what you are saying.---What can I do for someone?- (talk) 19:03, 8 June 2012 (UTC)
- Particularly, you are trying to say "Kagawa agreed a deal", it means he agreed all the terms and conditions on the contract, but I wonder if everything has been settled COMPLETELY, since he has not "put pen to paper yet".---What can I do for someone?- (talk)
- He hasn't put pen to paper because he hasn't yet been to Manchester; he is currently on international duty and wants to focus on playing well for Japan. As for a reliable source as to the agreement, how's this one? To quote that page, "Manchester United is delighted to announce that it has agreed terms with both Borussia Dortmund and Shinji Kagawa for his transfer to the Club. The deal is subject only to the player medical and obtaining a UK work permit. These conditions are anticipated to be completed by the end of June." So, according to Manchester United, the transfer fee and the details of the contract have been agreed. Sufficient? – PeeJay 19:30, 8 June 2012 (UTC)

- You're using the wrong tie breaking rules to determine the possible outcomes. This is why you cannot, in most cases, determine anything until the last round. Please stop posting them.
- It works in the World Cup and the Euros because tie breakers are head-to-head and may put teams in advantageous positions despite goal difference. This is not the case in the olympics. In order to make a complete list of possibilities you would have to have so many subclauses that it would be impossible to read. Athox (talk) 17:38, 29 July 2012 (UTC)
- You are misunderstanding the factor. It is NOT a tie breakers. For example, Japan just defeated Morocco, making their point as 6, then no other 2 teams can surpass Japan at the end of the group stage. Therefore, they are FOR SURE to be 2nd place or higher already.---What can I do for someone?- (talk) 17:51, 29 July 2012 (UTC)
- Yes, but that is what the green colour is for. There are other examples where you are wrong in making your "lists". For example you said Belarus will advance if they do not lose to Egypt, which is wrong. If they draw and New Zealand beats Brazil with enough goals, NZ will pass Belarus even if Belarus already beat NZ. These are things which you seem to be missing in your analysis.Athox (talk) 18:06, 29 July 2012 (UTC)

Explanation on removal of edits
[edit]Hi, WCIDFS. Another editor recommended that I stop by and explain to you why I reverted your edits to Senkaku Islands dispute and 2012 China anti-Japanese demonstrations. The thing is, Wikipedia is not a newspaper. We don't want to report on every single thing that happens that is vaguely connected to a subject. The change from one level of government agent to a lower level matters in some sense, but it's not a major even in the history of the dispute on the islands, so putting it there would violate WP:UNDUE. As for the demonstrations article, it actually has nothing at all to do with that article, which should only be about the actual protests themselves. If you want to discuss the matter further, we can open a discussion on Talk:Senkaku Islands dispute. Qwyrxian (talk) 01:45, 11 October 2012 (UTC)

- First of all, you are misunderstanding what U-18 and U-19 national teams are for. Those under-age teams are formed to make it to Japan national under-20 football team after all, since U-18 team are be for the qualifier of AFC U-19 Championship, which serves as one of the qualifiers for the FIFA U-20 World Cup. Therefore, it does not make any sense to create individual articles for U-18 and U-19 teams, so as the links to those articles. Creating links to the articles which are not, and will not, exist is more disruptive. Thanks ---What can I do for someone?- (talk) 10:31, 19 January 2013 (UTC)
- That's not an argument, European U-21 Championships are qualifiers for U-23 Olympics, and you don't link U-23 or Olympic to U-21. Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Linking clearly states "Do not be afraid to create links to potential articles that do not yet exist". U-18 is U-18 not U-20 and should have separate article.--Oleola (talk) 12:55, 19 January 2013 (UTC)
- He does not have European nationality, but Japan, which belongs to AFC, thus IMPOSSIBLE to participate in the European U-21 Championships. Do not apply European standard to those who are not from Europe. ---What can I do for someone?- (talk) 13:43, 19 January 2013 (UTC)
- It doesn't matter, it's just an example, U-18 national team is not U-20 national team.--Oleola (talk) 14:06, 19 January 2013 (UTC)

Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. --Oleola (talk) 14:06, 19 January 2013 (UTC)
- I do not have a time to explain further now, but should say that I am strongly against what you are saying. You do not understand how Japanese national teams by ages are consisted of AT ALL. You should learn about it more, not about whatever UEFA or your country applies.---What can I do for someone?- (talk) 17:16, 19 January 2013 (UTC)
Consistent date format
[edit]Hello.
When adding information to an article, please consider the existing date format in the article, and adapt your addition to that, so that inconsistent date format is not introduced. I am thinking of the article on Masato Uchishiba.

Yuichi Nishimura article
[edit]Hello, I'd like to discuss your revert of my edit on the page about Yuichi Nishimura. I agree with you that not all of the references lined up with the specific sentences, but my writing of the article itself was much clearer in plain English and avoided confusion. Could we maybe think about reducing the amount of sources on that particular section? There are five sources for the phrase about Neymar's yellow card alone - surely that is excessive. Also five sources on Nishimura receiving negative reviews when maybe two would suffice. Then it'll be easier to fix the problem you had with the page while addressing the rewrite I thought it needed. Savvy10 (talk) 15:13, 30 June 2014 (UTC)
- If so, please make all pre-existing references matched with the descriptions. I noticed that you relocated some descriptions to the different position, while leaving the references unmoved, thus creating the mismatches which could not be left unfixed.---What can I do for someone?- (talk) 16:21, 30 June 2014 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Mattythewhite. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Junichi Inamoto, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. - There is no official statement about his transfer available in English, but all in Japanese language as of now (cannot expect anything in English to be released from 3rd-tier J-league clubs..).
