Shit happens
Another editor has added the {{prod}}
template to the article Shit happens, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}}
template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. BJBot (talk) 18:05, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
AfD nomination of Shit happens
An editor has nominated Shit happens, an article which you have created or worked on, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Shit happens (2nd nomination) and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 19:59, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
Is the BOT too fast for human editors?
Hi, please look at the version history of Universally_Unique_Identifier, I think the Bot is too fast for human editors, vandals or otherwise. It helped me to find the typo "defintion" instead of "definition", but the problem was that I moved two paragraphs from section 0 to section 1, starting with the insertion in section 1. The Bot then reverted this back to an older version before I could remove the identical paragraphs from section 0, that was rather confusing. I've no good idea for a "grace period", too long is bad (non-vandal would miss that something is wrong), too short is also bad (non-vandal has difficulties to arrive at a consistent state for discussion). --217.184.142.10 (talk) 14:17, 4 April 2008 (UTC) Don't use the talk link
I reverted to the good article...
My changes were reverted by the bot due to "possible vandalism". I was just removing the vandalism, as the current definition of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Defecation is made by a not so bright person which has removed the original content. All i did was revert back to the original content. It was the opposite of vandalism.

The bot said I was doing a test edit. I was just fixing some grammar. Example: From "I like cheese ,it is tasty" To "I like dick in my asshole, it is tasty" —Preceding unsigned comment added by Blender12345 (talk • contribs) 02:06, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
Why humans are important
Your bot is wrong. Often. People keep having to undo its 'work.' How many times must that happen before you'll come to the conclusion that computer programs don't parse human concepts very well, and turn it off? 71.9.8.150 (talk) 22:50, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
How was I vandalizing?
Your bot reverted my editing on God of War: Chains of Olympus "due to vandalism." I was simply fixing the grammar and correcting info on the plot summary. The bot also said my edit summary may have been inadequate, however I think that is very untrue as I stated clearly what I was editing: fixed grammar and corrected the plot. I'll bet that bot just looked at how many characters I added/replaced/deleted, which is not very efficient. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.54.98.102 (talk) 23:28, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
Got that one wrong
I wasn't vandalizing on List of characters in The King of Fighters series. On the contrary, I was reverting vandalism. 88.161.129.43 (talk) 23:45, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

In the edit (Revision as of 07:42, 15 March 2008), one of the users of this shared IP address (59.176.70.90) added information, something about belly dancing and fashion sense. The information may have been irrelevant but it does NOT amount to vandalism. I urge you to assume good faith. 59.183.155.17 (talk) 11:44, 8 April 2008 (UTC)59.176.70.90

This is for VoABot II. Considering I give this to humans who constantly beat me to reverts, I feel obliged to award this to a bot which does more anti-vandalism work than any human, and thus to its creator, Voice of All. Enigma message Review 20:56, 8 April 2008 (UTC) |

Hi there,
I should let you know this IP is part of a block allocated to Talk Talk (owned by the carphone warehouse) therefore, a wide variety of strange people will make use of this IP through time. Cheers, Olipro --78.146.56.253 (talk) 10:14, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

False positive
Hey, I just wanted to let you know that the bot made a mistake here. An IP reverted a page blanking, and the bot reverted the IP and re-blanked the page. I know it's a good bot, and I hope this doesn't sound like nitpicking. I just thought you might want to have a look and see if any adjustments need to be made. Take care. --Bongwarrior (talk) 01:08, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

- Yep -- definitely a mistake. Someone the Person (talk) 23:56, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
Just wondering
The bot is hardworking, efficient and polite, but it also gives out a handy tip to vandals: "If you made an edit that removed a large amount of content, try doing smaller edits instead." I wonder if it's a good idea to alert them to that. Channel ® 23:02, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
- Even though the bot does a large amount of the reverting, users who fight vandalism don't look for only large amounts of content removed. I check even the smallest of edits when I am going through recent changes in search of vandalism to revert. However, I agree that bots should not give vandals tips about how to evade them. VoABotII False Positive
Hi! The VoABotII has been reverting my edits because it has noticed the huge chunks of text that are missing. Text is missing because I split the page into two! I tried reverting back and leaving a message but it then reverted me back again!! Here's the original page. I'd love it to be reverted to my last edit!

The page which I split it to, just so you can see I'm not randomly deleting stuff. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Head_of_the_Schoolgirls_%28Victoria%29

Diff: [2]
The wikitext of this diff indicates that it is a level 4 warning, but the actual text viewable by the user looks like a generic level 1 warning. Can you modify your bot to leave more appropriate warnings? I'm not comfortable reporting to AIV after the user vandalizes after such a mild warning. Neil916 (Talk) 16:32, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
Nigga vandalism
I've just added a link to the equivalent Spanish page for Félix Danilo Gómez. The vandalism you deleted was poorly expressed -- to say the least -- but it was not inaccurate. It's corroborated by the Spanish page and elsewhere on the web, more or less. FYI Varlaam (talk) 01:56, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

bot problem
I attempted to revert some vandalism of Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry and the vandalbot reverted my edit. It turns out the earlier version I reverted to also was a vandalized version and. Please remove the warning from my talk page if it is still there. Sometimes when a user talk page is blanked by the user it is automatically reverted I put a note on the Administrator's Noticeboard about this and an admin fixed the problem --68.45.82.237 (talk) 01:12, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
User blanks page and fools bot
Hi, yesterday the bot warned a user, the user blanked their page except for one line of text, and then the bot gave another level 1 warning (for another incident), all in the span of 2 minutes. Anyway around this user trick? [4] [5] NJGW (talk) 21:46, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
- Also, I've noticed that when xlinkbot leaves a warning, voabot might not count it, like here, where a warn2 by xlinkbot is followed by a warn2 by vaobot. Whose concer would this be? NJGW (talk) 00:40, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
Amygdalin comments
I am not an administrator. However, as a user of Wikipedia, I would prefer you refrain from posting such comments as: "Bullshit. And you can cut the Big Pharma boogeyman crap while you are at it." (c.f. Amygdalin talk page). These words seem aimed at insulting a user rather than contributing to the encyclopedia. Although you "Assure that all articles I come across adhere to WP:NPOV and are encyclopedic," in this case the rule is not followed. By all means, I encourage you to support claims as to amygdalin's usefulness with scientific evidence. However, if this is not done, your claims are unacceptable. As a researcher of amygdalin (I am conducting a two-step evaluation of ADEPT using amygdalin as prodrug) I have a wealth of amygdalin studies at my disposal if you are interested. I am also willing to discuss the results of these studies (although this is not the purpose of my post). Elsweyn (talk) 17:30, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
- All he did was rant about "big pharma" and conspiracies. Where is the evidence there? Me pointing that out is not "unacceptable". Anyways, try to keep conversion on that talk page, to avoid things getting split up. Voice-of-All 18:15, 27 April 2008 (UTC)

When is a final not a final?
I was about to add a warning to a vandal's talk page when I saw that the previous warning was this [6]. Ah! thought I - he's had a recent level-4 warning. So I reported to AIV, and was told by the admin [7] that the user had not received a final warning. Umm, what gave here? The text looks like a 4, but the result doesn't appear like a 4, and I can't see that the template has changed. Philip Trueman (talk) 19:26, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

Dispute
My edit was automatically undone by this bot. I don't think it should have been. My edit was not a test; it was a legitimate edit. --76.23.140.166 (talk) 04:14, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
Now, my edit was also automatically undone by this bot. It was not vandalism and it has its source specified. The article is short, but this is valid information about a recent artwork they have done which has had global distribution with the album. --74.13.55.254 (talk) 22:08, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
