Hi, I was curious what topics of mathematics and physics are you most interested in? Rschwieb (talk) 15:23, 21 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

For mathematics there is no focus for me, only things that I need and stumble over. In physics I would say I am focused on Nonlinear dynamical systems (at the moment). At the moment I am writing the german version of numerical continuation. But that will take some time. The last article I wrote was about minimal coupling -> de:minimale Kopplung. In the lebesgue integration-article I am only involved because I drew the figure b) and was wondering why the en:WP changed the picture.--Svebert (talk) 09:06, 22 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
It sounds like there is a school of thought (possibly certain European schools) that thinks of it as picture a), but I agree with you that the slab picture does not describe the characteristic definition. I like the new version of b) now: it looks like a good compromise.
I'm trained in ring and module theory, and I'm interested in the applications of the stuff to mechanics/electromagnetics/relativity. Sounds like our interests are not very close, but that's fine. We still might have an excuse to work together! Rschwieb (talk) 13:21, 22 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
