Please help me with...
Hi I am trying to edit a page and having problems uploading a picture ?
I have tried this code .. [[File:https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-Qvyac0_TKQc/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAPw/NnpCGCCEBz8/photo.jpg|thumb|Dr Radha Modgil]]
and I get a box for image but just showing the text inside rather than the picture?
Can you help?
Thanks so much Sebastiz (talk) 17:56, 6 June 2015 (UTC)

- Sebastiz, you cannot directly link to images from the web on Wikipedia, they have to be uploaded to Wikipedia first and then linked to. Please see WP:IMAGE for more information. If you want more help, stop by the Teahouse, Wikipedia's live help channel, or the help desk to ask someone for assistance. Primefac (talk) 18:15, 6 June 2015 (UTC)
- (edit conflict) You have to actually upload the image before you can place it in a article. For general advice, see Help:Introduction to uploading images.
- It is best to upload it to Wikimedia Commons, which makes it available to all the Wikimedia projects. Start at Commons:Special:UploadWizard.
- Note that if you did not take the picture yourself, you will have to get the copyright owner, usually the photographer, to make a copyright release. How to do that is explained at Commons:COM:OTRS. JohnCD (talk) 18:21, 6 June 2015 (UTC)

- Sebastiz, the largest issue I can find is that there isn't a complete sentence in the article after the Table of Contents. Text should be in paragraph format unless absolutely necessary (such as for a list of books or TV shows). Quite a few of those sections could easily be turned into paragraphs as opposed to lists.
