Rees's Cyclopaedia biographies
Hello Sarah - I see you've tagged this as needing references. I'm not sure what you mean about this, since its purely a listing of the biographical article titles. The parent article on Rees's Cyclopaedia is very fully referenced, of course. Just now I'm listing the articles by Charles Burney on music and musical biography which will be posted around the middle of next year. I have my own set of Rees, and used it in the 1980's to write about topics on industrial history. Now I've retired I've returned to Rees and posted the info on WP, which it might do some good in the future! Kind regards Apwoolrich (talk) 08:34, 4 November 2013 (UTC)
RSSSF - Primary Source
Hi Sarah,
I noted you tagged Choden FC with a primary source tag. Just to let you know. RSSSF is not a primary source, it is an independant football stats website and is not connected with any football association, club or league. It is vast, so there are sometimes errors in their reporting, but it is accepted as a reliable source by WP:FOOTY. Thanks. Fenix down (talk) 08:36, 4 November 2013 (UTC)
Article for creation: Vicidial
Hello! You left me a message that the article Vicidial needed more sources for notability, I think I got three good sources for notability and not only one.
- SourceForge Community Blog | 2006 Community Choice Awards, sourceforge.net, Retrieved 2013-09-23
Yes vicidial host their code on Sourceforge like many other software project does, but this is not their page, its a page about the award they got 2006 in the VoIP category
- TMC Announces Best-of-Show Winners at ITEXPO East 2011, www.businesswire.com, Retrieved 2013-09-23
This is an other award they got 2011 announced at Businesswire and I cant see that its related to Vicidial authors in any way.
- the book that you said was good of course
Should I remove some of the other references to make these 3 easier to see? DomeDan (talk) 14:05, 4 November 2013 (UTC)
- Hi. I'd suggest linking the actual citations you're referring too so I can look at them. 95% of the time Businesswire actually provides only press releases, which are not reliable secondary sources. Feel free to add the additional sources and resubmit, and someone will eventually come by and take a look at it. I generally don't review articles twice in a row, to allow for another opinion. Thanks for your contribution. SarahStierch (talk) 15:37, 4 November 2013 (UTC)
- Ok, I will try to improve it and resubmit, Thanks! DomeDan (talk) 12:05, 5 November 2013 (UTC)
Got your teahouse invite. I guess it was just a courteous touch base?
Thanks. (I'm more a coffee guy, for the record.)

Heartwood Institute
Greetings Sarah: I saw you relisted the Heartwood deletion discussion for a more thorough discussion. I don't know what else to put there; the place is closed and wasn't even locally notable, and the new owners haven't got their buems off the ground yet to become notable. The article was uncited since 2005, even locals never even heard of the place. Is there anything else I can do to get this page closed? Ellin Beltz (talk) 18:32, 4 November 2013 (UTC)
- It's no big deal that it's there for another week. it's important to let folks weigh in if they can. Just give it a week, and see what happen. It's existence isn't hurting anyone, so if it's there for another week, that's OK. Feel free to keep improving the article if you wish, of course, and comment as needed if you decide to do so. Thanks for your contributions. SarahStierch (talk) 18:34, 4 November 2013 (UTC)
- OK, just curious. I can't improve the article as the place itself isn't notable and there's nothing to be found about it. I love going around and building up stub articles (e.g. Albeeville, California & Ferndale Unified School District) but there's nothing I can do for Heartwood, it wasn't/isn't notable. I just didn't understand the "relisting" because I've never seen that happen to an Article for Deletion before. Of course, I don't have a huge amount of experience with them and am asking to learn. Ellin Beltz (talk) 18:38, 4 November 2013 (UTC)
- Right on, I appreciate you expanding things, I like to do that also sometimes. Yeah, I relisted it to get more feedback from folks, since Melanie seemed pretty set on expanding it. If I was you, I'd add your keep/delete based on your opinion (if you think it's not notable and should be deleted, I'd say so). So that's my two cents :) SarahStierch (talk) 18:41, 4 November 2013 (UTC)
- Are you sure Melanie wanted to expand it? Here is her quote from the AFD page Delete Nothing notable about this "institute". Unreferenced since 2005. Shame on us for letting it stay that long, and thanks to Ellin Beltz for finally catching it. --MelanieN (talk) 01:43, 31 October 2013 (UTC) I don't see anything else from anyone that wanted to expand it, and really I've looked for sources, there aren't any. Ellin Beltz (talk) 18:47, 4 November 2013 (UTC)
- Ah, I must have been thinking of another deletion discussion, I did look at a lot that day. Ah well, it's not hurting anyone to be up there for another week. SarahStierch (talk) 18:48, 4 November 2013 (UTC)

DYK for Carol Comeau
On 5 November 2013, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Carol Comeau, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that Carol Comeau was inaugurated into the Alaska Women's Hall of Fame in 2009? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Carol Comeau. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

Ford Tickford Engineering or Tickford vehicle Engineering
Hi SarahStierch
I was doing some new page patrolling when this Ford Tickford Engineering page came up. Seemed like a good page apart from bare URLs. On snooping about I found that you had rejected the page at Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Tickford vehicle Engineering as there was a pre-existing page/s relating to that company, and that this was it's second rejection.
It seems the author Space alligator (talk · contribs) has gone ahead and put the article into the main article space, less than 4 hours after you notified them it was rejected. They also re-directed Ford Tickford Experience to their page. Not sure if this is a problem, though it all seems a bit rude.:-\ 220 of Borg 13:09, 6 November 2013 (UTC)
- Oy vey, yeah that is rude. I have reverted their changes, userfied the page, and left them a comment asking them to gather consensus before making epic changes. You can see it here. I hope I didn't come off to cross, but, I'd be pissed if I was an editor on that article. Thanks for your tip off and for your contributions to Wikipedia. SarahStierch (talk) 16:15, 6 November 2013 (UTC)
- I was actually the original author of the Ford Tickford Experience page, I created it. And as said company is basically a rebranding (or sub-brand) of the Ford Tickford Engineering company, it makes perfect sense to move it under the Ford Tickford Engineering Article. Ford Tickford Engineering is also a stand alone operation, run separate from Europes operations.Space alligator (talk) 20:38, 6 November 2013 (UTC)
- OK! Whatever works. Sorry about the misunderstanding! Just some warnings are always nice to have before epic changes take place in articles. Thanks again :) SarahStierch (talk) 20:51, 6 November 2013 (UTC)
- Yeah, I should have left a note in the changes, as I figured a "merge" would work, but it needs to be under the Tickford Vehicle Engineering title. I originally did the other page without thinking ahead, I did the Ford Tickford Experience page then thought I should have done the rest, so I created the othger page. On that note, I realized that the title was wrong and confusing anyway. So ive created it as Tickford Vehicle Engineering instead of Ford Tickford Engineering. Hopefully this makes it a bit easier to follow. Massive mistake on my behalf...misunderstanding both ways!Space alligator (talk) 09:07, 7 November 2013 (UTC)

SKITAČA
About my article "Skitaca", I just started writing down notes on this article. How did it get to article for creation approval place? I did not meant it to go there. I am not ready for article approval I just started writing it. I am still writing the article so why can't I see a preview of my article when I click "Show preview". Did I started to write in the wrong page place? Jvdobrich (talk) 03:26, 7 November 2013 (UTC)
Thanks for the review, I'll head right back toward the windmill
Thanks for reviewing my page. I'll look into making it a better article.
Do you know of any resources (a guide, tips, examples) that would help me better understand Wikipedia's goals when it comes to contributing content? I may sound naive, but one of the largest selling points of wikipedia (in my mind) is the ability for anyone to contribute any thing. This is the second time I've submitted this article and while it's not a popular as say Mayo Clinic the organization is well-known with in the area it covers.
Is it not better to have something written down than nothing? It seems to me that there is a fine line in the bureaucracy in contributions. Too much and people will be come disinterested in contributing, too little and you run the risk of the quality diminishing.
Thank you for your time and experience. I appreciate your work. Ckoerner (talk) 21:10, 7 November 2013 (UTC)
Wikimedia LGBT
Hi Sarah, I just wanted to bring Wikimedia LGBT, a proposed user group and thematic organization that promotes the development of content on Wikimedia projects which is of interest to LGBT communities, to your attention. I am sure you are so busy with your current projects, but I hope you might be able to direct people to this group if they are interested in LGBT content in any way. Of course, you are also more than welcome to indicate your interest/support, if you wish. Hopefully we can get some LGBT-related GLAM projects up and running in the near future. A kitten for you!
Sarah - Unlike everyone else, you were kind enough to take the time and explain why the article I wrote (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/Crisply) was rejected. I created the article, so that I could get Crisply listed on the table here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_time_tracking_software . Crisply is as worthy of being listed here as any of the other vendors. Any additional suggestions would be greatly appreciated! All best wishes to you!

The article Alderon Iron Ore Corp. has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- This is a mining company, but there doesn't seem to be anything special about it. The references are about the company financials, but all companies need to raise money. The company doesn't seem to be doing much out of the ordinary, and it does not have a presence in more general publications. Reuters/Globe and Mail article uses press release quotations. Only independent comment is Asian steel companies are investing in iron ore companies.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

Hi, since content from this deleted page was apparently previously merged into Bangla Academy we need to preserve the history for attribution purposes, normally by using a redirect or moving the content to a sub-page of the talk page. Apologies if I have missed it but has it been done please? The Whispering Wind (talk) 18:28, 15 November 2013 (UTC)
- Hi. Where do you want me to copy the content from the deleted article? SarahStierch (talk) 18:31, 15 November 2013 (UTC)
- The article needs to be restored and moved to Talk:Bangla Academy/New bangla academy building suppressing the redirect. Then a {{merged from}} template, linking to that sub-page needs to be added to Talk:Bangla Academy. A recent example of this technique is at Talk:Nobel Prize/Why Isn't There a Nobel Prize in Mathematics and Talk:Nobel Prize. The Whispering Wind (talk) 18:30, 16 November 2013 (UTC)

Re-opened AfD
Hi, it was not my intention to criticise you personally but I've re-nominated an article at AfD. You closed the first discussion as "no consensus" and, as I've now explained there, you are not the only person who takes that approach for unsourced stubs that lack a valid reason to keep. I probably will raise the general principle at WP:VPP or somewhere similar in due course because I think that we might gain from some clarity. If I've offended you then please accept my apologies: it is not my intent and there have been far more obvious examples of the difficulty (if only I can remember what they were!) - Sitush (talk) 20:02, 16 November 2013 (UTC)

- Ha! If ever I run through the RfA process, as has been suggested a few times, then you'll find yours is a minority view once the socks and caste warriors start chattering on Orkut and similar! If ever a RfA were to be derailed, that'd be the one ;) - Sitush (talk) 22:01, 16 November 2013 (UTC)

- Hi there. In order to challenge the deletion of an article you have to go through Deletion review. So, if you are interested in investigating of the article was wrongly deleted, you'll have to go through deletion review, in which the community then discusses the subject. Sorry :( SarahStierch (talk) 19:35, 17 November 2013 (UTC)
Hi Sarah. You restored the article citing the user request (I can not find the request, but you mentioned it in the description). The problem is that the article is now in the mainspace, with the template pointing out to an AfD closed two years ago. Would you mind if I userfy it, which is to move it to the user space and to remove the AfD templates and the categories?--Ymblanter (talk) 22:01, 19 November 2013 (UTC)
- OMG that was a total accident. I have been doing some research work and stumbled across that and DID NOT MEAN TO RESTORE IT! I'm going to go back and delete it. - Hi there. The deletion process actually is a little odd, but, requires that a person not associated with the conversation close the discussion. The consensus was on the delete side, which is how Wikipedia generally makes decisions (consensus). If you'd like to have the deletion reviewed, you can do that by visiting Wikipedia:Deletion review. I contribute in Wikipedia since 2011. And your deletion of the article hasn't several interpretations, it is just discrimination. Also, just one tip, please sign your posts, after you're done writing, with four tildes (~~~~) so people know you wrote on their wall or on deletion review or talk pages, and the robot doesn't have to come by and do it for you. Thanks again, and I hope you'll take it to deletion review. SarahStierch (talk) 22:18, 23 November 2013 (UTC)
No, it is useless and even useless to continue contributing in Wikipedia and to be associated with people in your category and the category of (PRehse), who in one side improves the page of Curt Warburton and in another side asks for deletion of the page of Mansour barnaoui!!! And don't what's the shit is happening here!!!!!!
Thank you for the "tutorial" about tagging my posts, I don't care about that while admin behaves in stupid manner here.
Hill jumping
You should learn to run the Reflinks tool yourself after adding the tag to articles like Hill jumping. Run reflinks, look at it with preview, and save the updates. If nothing more is needed for references, delete the tag, but leave it if some references need more work.

Article/advice
Dear Sarah, can you please take a look at [1]? I have improved the article and I think (I hope :-)that it can be ok. The author is in fact well known in Switzerland for his travel books (especially cycling -> “Sui passi in bicicletta - Swiss Alpine passes by bicycle (English version)http://www4.ti.ch/fileadmin/DECS/DS/Rivista_scuola_ticinese/ST_n.311/ST_311_Sui_passi_in_bicicletta.pdf , very interesting because it contains specific information on the geography and history of the Swiss mountains) and his blog ("selected among the seven biggest blogger in Switzerland”); he is fairly well known as a sport journalist http://triathletaperpassione.blogspot.ch/2013/09/spirig-tre-sport-e-un-bebe-intervista.html an interview with Olympic triathlon champion London 2012). Lastly, he has already a page in fr.wiki. Thank you! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.65.152.62 (talk) 07:29, 25 November 2013 (UTC)
Way too liberal in policy enforcement.
I think that you are way too liberal in your enforcement in policy enforcement. Specifically the recent edits in vandalism and yes I'm sure you will prattle on again about blocks being preventative not punitive etc. But if you actually took time to research and do the job right you might not be quite as lax. Very disappointed in your assessments. Answer if you wish, I'm sure I'll read but I highly doubt it will change my opinion of your admin style so you can skip it and it won't cause problems it has already abetted. Greetings from American Anthropological Association
We just had an awesome "Writing women and feminist anthropologists into Wikipedia" workshop (not an edit-a-thon, b/c of weird-ness I'll explain IRL). You added OTRS permission, but there is no source or licence. Please check. --Stefan2 (talk) 22:57, 25 November 2013 (UTC)
- Also, File:Sustainuance First Anniversary Cover.jpg is unfree with OTRS permission. What is the meaning of this? --Stefan2 (talk) 00:21, 26 November 2013 (UTC)
- Hi there. For the second one, sometimes people will email OTRS and give Wikipedia permission for fair use. It's sort of silly, but, it's a simple courtesy. I'd rather put a template saying we've talked to someone and they're OK with it being used once, than not posting it :) Feel free to move it to the talk page or whatever. SarahStierch (talk) 00:51, 26 November 2013 (UTC)
- I see. Maybe you should add {{Non-free with permission}} in these cases? This would clarify what the OTRS ticket refers to and avoid confusion. --Stefan2 (talk) 00:55, 26 November 2013 (UTC)
- I never knew that existed. Thanks! I've processed over 200 of these over the course of a few days..so...a few mistakes ain't so bad :) SarahStierch (talk) 01:01, 26 November 2013 (UTC)

OTRS tags for articles
Hi, Sarah. :) The tag you used at Talk:DJ JamJam, Template:OTRS permission, is for files. This is because the license under which content is released actually appears on the file page, as well as the source. It doesn't work for articles because it doesn't identify either. Template:ConfirmationOTRS is the tag for articles, as it has a parameter for the source and allows you to specify whether the license is CC-By-SA only or dual. That said, if the correspondent permitting text doesn't specifically identify him or herself as having placed it, attribution must be added, or the content is still a copyright issue (unless the content is public domain). I'll fix that one, but I wanted to let you know for future reference. Thanks for helping catch up the permissions backlog! I'm sure it's a monster by now. :/ --Moonriddengirl (talk) 22:05, 26 November 2013 (UTC)
- AH! OK. That's super helpful. Thanks :D SarahStierch (talk) 22:09, 26 November 2013 (UTC)
Deletion Visual History
I talked with other students. That would really be a mistake to delete "Visual History". The problem in fact is to improve the English. But the matter is really important and very serious. Please think about the situation in the 1930s if wikipedia was founded : the Ecole des Annales would not appear in wikipedia in English just because the translation is not very good ? It is not serious for our common Free Encyclopedia. The English speaking countries must know about these new researches. The proposition is then to work together with your help to write it in a better English. malexart87.231.94.89 (talk) 05:55, 26 November 2013 (UTC)

Visual History (or Histiconologia) is in fact the right name. This is the new global History of all visual matters made by humankind from Prehistory. That means objects, arts, images, architectures, landscapes... You cannot call it History of Images or History of Arts. So, you really should keep the name. Hi Sarah,
I am one of the employee with Mrs. Brinda Somaya, the contents put up under her name is not appropriate thus i request you to change it. thanking you in anticipation Saagarshinde1974
- Hi. As I stated on your talk page and on the talk page of the article about Somaya, you editing the article is a WP:Conflict of Interest which is against policy on Wikipedia - you can't edit about yourself or someone you work with. Second, we can't add content totally cited and/or copied from her website. You have to have multiple reliable secondary sources. Now, unless there is something liable or threatening or violating of our biographies of living person policy, then we don't have to remove anything until more reliable secondary sources can be discovered. Anyone can say anything about themselves on their website, but, without reliable secondary sources, we can't verify them. I hope this helps. SarahStierch (talk) 09:43, 27 November 2013 (UTC)
Nina E. Allender
Hi Sarah,
Thanks for your kind encouragement. I want you to know that I was assisted by a relative from her family, Pam H., who contributed some historical and genealogical research and communicated with me for nearly a decade. AfD's
In the interests of improving the coverage of women artists on Wikipedia, wouldn't it be better to avoid nominating articles for AfD unless they are clearly and utterly devoid of any merit? Raising these articles for community discussion is very noble, but maybe it would be an option to list them somewhere on a subpage of the new WikiProject to allow participants to take a closer look first. Sionk (talk) 02:31, 28 November 2013 (UTC)
- If you think that's the best idea. I did research on all of the people I nominated before I nominated them. (I'm an art curator by trade, so I like to think I have savvy research skills :) ) but, if you think it's the best idea to do that first, then sure! We just need to create some type of system for processing the articles, or they could risk sitting in a big pile in the project for a long time before someone nominates them/keeps them. SarahStierch (talk) 02:33, 28 November 2013 (UTC)
Relisting PWCT for deletion
I noticed that you relisted Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PWCT for further discussion. For what it's worth, extensive earlier discussion of the exact same article (where the creator presents sources and they are dismissed as unreliable) has already taken place at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PWCT (programming language), dated a few days previously. When that discussion seemed to be clearly favouring deletion, the article creator abandoned the discussion and just made a fresh copy-and-paste duplicate at PWCT. --McGeddon (talk) 09:49, 28 November 2013 (UTC)
- Ah well, it won't kill Wikipedia to have it sit there another week to let every voice be heard. If someone else wants to close it or whatever, go for it. At least I didn't keep it ;) SarahStierch (talk) 16:57, 28 November 2013 (UTC)

delighted to be asked to join
Hi, Sarah - I'm delighted to be part of the Women Artists Project. I'll need some guidance wrt what is expected of me, but I'm ready to learn. Should I set up a user page? Also, I'm still rather lost as to why my article about Sonia Gechtoff is noted as not having enough citations and only got a C grade; it's similar to what I've done elsewhere. I'm anxious to have the "cleanup" boxes removed. Looking forward to working with you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cynthiavictoria (talk • contribs) 21:31, 29 November 2013 (UTC)
- Hi Cynthia. Glad you want to be involved in the project and thanks for your past and future contributions to Wikipedia. The article is missing a lot of citations for the collections, awards, and exhibition sections. Wikipedia prefers everything to be cited to make the best of any article, so having citations for claims of exhibitions, awards, and collections is really important for artists. So if those citations exists, it would be great to add them (especially since there are so many extensive resources listed at the bottom). You can always be bold and remove templates though if you wish. You can read a bit more about the quality scale. A lot of people, and robots (people have robots go around and often tag articles based on length!) base their qualities on length, which isn't always correct. So, a start is more appropriate, especially given some missing references/citations and the fact that there is probably a lot more about there about the subject. You can browse the quality scale via this link. Hope that helps some. Feel free to talk by the project talk page and say hi, and you can find a worklist and other suggested projects! Can't wait to help with the work you do! SarahStierch (talk) 00:13, 30 November 2013 (UTC)
Keep Visual History but change the name: History of Visual Culture
I do agree with argemedia: "I am really sorry to say that to delete or to redirect Visual History would be a historical mistake for our common Encyclopedia. Visual History is a new science. Of course, it deals with Visual Culture, but it is a History of this Visual Culture, as you have a general History, a History of Art or Arts, a History of Medias, a History of Images. This History of Visual Culture is a global history of all visual matters : images, objects, arts, architectures, landscapes... It has been founded with the World Dictionnary of Images (in fact, not only images, but all aspects of visual culture from Prehistory) written by 475 authors from all over the World (publisher : Nouveau Monde). Nevertheless there is a problem with the name in English, because Visual History could mean also a way to show History through various images. So, my suggestion is to keep it but to change the name in order to make it more clear for everybody in English: History of Visual Culture. I may do this if everybody agree. argemedia" malexartMalexart (talk) 07:33, 30 November 2013 (UTC)

Very nice of you to ask. Wondering how you arrived at me. Sophie Matisse? Keri Rosebraugh? I'm available to help unofficially, please do let me know if-&-when I can! I noticed my Sophie Matisse article seems to have been noticed by the group; any suggestions for alterations which would up its grade/rating? Best wishes. Penwatchdog (talk) 11:57, 30 November 2013 (UTC)
- It was through your Matisse article! Well done. I suggest taking a look at the project page, browsing the how you can help section. Regarding improving the Matisse article. I'd perhaps propose on the talk page a project focus or suggestions on how to improve it. Just start a new section and perhaps ask for suggestions. I like the idea of having the project so we can get many voices, all excited about women's artists, to join in. SarahStierch (talk) 17:35, 30 November 2013 (UTC)

Category changes on women artists
Hi there. I see you've been revising cats for women artists. That's great, but some of them don't look right to me. You took 'artists' off Margaret Preston in favour of 'printmakers'. Certainly Preston's prints are famous, but her oil paintings are also good and held in national collections. The Bronwyn Bancroft change, from artists to textile artists, seemed bizarre to me, as she has only worked in painting for some years, AFAIK. What's the rationale / guideline underpinning these changes? Ta, hamiltonstone (talk) 08:29, 5 December 2013 (UTC)
- Hi there. It's generally based on what is primarily covered in the article or what they're examined as being in the lead. I've been categorizing a TON of these, so there are bound to be some mistakes out of the 1,000 I think I've categorized by hand. Feel free to add categories as needed! Feel free to take it to deletion review if you'd like to see another outcome. I'm rather indifferent and I have no personal connection to the subject. Thanks for coming by! Questions regarding the creation of a page about a company and its achievements
Dear Sarah, Thank you for your message. I was involved into a conflict of interest because I edited couple of articles in order to add information about a specific software product. I then understood that it is not so simple to do so and all my edits were removed. I also realized that the right way to approach this is if it's possible to first create a page about a company and its achievements (the company is operating for more than 15 years). There are other companies which operate in the specific field of software development which do have pages in Wikipedia.
I would like to kindly ask for your assistance. Can you please let me know if there is any way to ask someone to create a page or edit/update an article regarding an item that doesn't exist, based on the fact that this item exists in the real life and every contribution needs a source. What would be the best way to have a page for the company "Nevron Software" and its achievements?
Thank you in advance. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Christo nevron (talk • contribs) 12:58, 9 December 2013 (UTC)
- Hi there. The appropriate process for requesting an article is to go to here and place the request. Secondly, if the article does exist, please comment on the talk page of the article with the requested changes, including reliable secondary sources. It takes time, so be patient, but eventually someone will come by and work on your requests. Thanks! SarahStierch (talk) 18:07, 9 December 2013 (UTC)

Sexism allegation
Hi Sarah, please accept my apologies for the stereotyping. I though that there was a support group of some sort for female Wikipedians but I'm struggling to find it. I've also got the feeling that I am the target of the latter part of this change and am at a loss. I don't even understand what "double standard sexism" means but Carolmooredc is clearly upset and if some sexist behaviour has gone on then it needs to be curbed. Do you know of any relevant support project that might assist her? Or give me a telling-off if I have erred? - Sitush (talk) 01:49, 10 December 2013 (UTC)
- I think if there is a problem or concern, you can bring it up with User:Carolmooredc. She's really savvy at handling sexism, probably more than I will ever be. Carol knows where to go if she does have a problem, and we are in the process of developing a women only mailing list for women involved in the Wikimedia community, but it's on hold right now until we secure a non-Wikimedia server for it. Anyway, I don't see how you have erred, as you haven't posted anything or made any ill will towards her from what I can see in her user page edit history. If you have concerns, I'd stop by Carol's talk page or send her an email. She's pretty awesome :) SarahStierch (talk) 01:58, 10 December 2013 (UTC)
- Ah, maybe I'd read something about the mailing list proposal somewhere. I don't spend my life worrying about whether I've offended people or not but this one bothers me - she has been having a hard time of late in a tough topic area & I've been quite critical of all the various involved parties at various points, including her today. I'd left her a note & will have to see what happens. Thanks for your help. - Sitush (talk) 02:11, 10 December 2013 (UTC)
