Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Manchester City F.C., disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Per MOS:BOLD. Mattythewhite (talk) 15:09, 20 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Football at the Summer Olympics, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. Thank you. You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on FIFA World Cup. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. --Yoda1893 (talk) 22:22, 29 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I've seen that you've recently been adding honours for international teams who were losing semi-finalists at the Euros. Since 1980, there have been no third-place play-offs to determine third place like in the World Cup. No third place medals have been awarded since 1980 with the exception of 2008 and 2012. I brought this up here: Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football/Archive 166#Euros third place honours and it has also been discussed on Talk:France national football team. It seems like the consensus is not to include honours for losing semi-finalists as no medal is received. Thanks Michaeldble (talk) 02:39, 31 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I've noticed you've been changing the honours sections for national teams. There is already a manual of style it seems for these types of sections here: Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/National teams#Honours. The three sections are intercontinental, continental and regional. Looking across the articles, this doesn't seem strictly enforced but 'interconfederative' and 'confederative' don't sound very natural to me personally. What are your thoughts? Iconos sin sentido

[edit]

Gracias. Fma12 (talk) 23:21, 27 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Altering the honours section of football clubs

[edit]

There is no consensus to add records in the honours section. To gain a consensus you need to use the football project talk page. Cranberry Wood (talk) 03:48, 9 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
