Trick or treat

[edit]

Halloween is not big in Australia, it is pushed by supermarkets to sell lollies etc. I'm Australian, so I know what I'm talking about. WynstonSmythe (talk) 06:12, 30 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@WynstonSmythe I'm Australian too, but the way you phrased that addition as well as the fact that halloween is infact very popular over here made me revert it. I don't know if I read into it too much, but you seemed to have something against halloween in Australia which isn't the right mindset to have when editing the article. -REDACTED403 (talk) 06:18, 30 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It's not popular, only a handful of people celebrate it. WynstonSmythe (talk) 00:53, 31 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

what's wrong with supporting trump redacted? And how did u see it so quickly?

Jukebox

[edit]

Thanks for this revert at Jukebox. I started the target article, decline in insect populations, and so got a notification. I suppose that you picked up on this as a recent changes patrol -- well done.

The edit seems quite mysterious to me. Do you have a theory? Is this sort of thing common? I haven't done much RCP myself and the task seems quite daunting if it's so chaotic.

ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:51, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Add a Fact survey and thank you

[edit]

Thank you for testing out the Add A Fact browser extension! This extension was developed as an experiment by the Future Audiences team at the Wikimedia Foundation to learn about new ways of contributing to Wikipedia from outside of our website/apps.

We are planning to wrap up this experiment this December, sunsetting the extension and publishing our findings on-wiki. We’d like to invite you to take part in an exit survey to tell us more about your experience of trying out the extension, and to share any ideas you have about how to support new ways of contributing to Wikipedia. The survey is anonymous (see the survey privacy statement) and should take about 10–15 minutes to complete.

You can take the Goole Forms survey here.

Kind regards, MPinchuk (WMF)
